Batmobile Arkham knight would've been a better title.

Kind of a thread resurrection but beats starting a new one. Got the game the other day and only now gotten around to playing it. Only as far as having just run Ivy in, but I still already hate the Batmobile with a passion. I was so disappointed with this game. I wanted it to be the first PS4/XB1 gen game that I loved... But it was just okay. Not bad... But nowhere near the game or the enjoyment that I got from Arkham Asylum. Yeah, the big problem was way too much Batmobile. They really should have cut down on the Batmobile missions, and given us more just beating the piss out of thugs missions. Also, the DLC Batmobiles being useless was a f***ing joke. Alright, I get the 89 Batmobile, the Tumbler, and the Batman vs Superman one, but none of them can be used in combat? That makes them useless. The DLC all around was a joke, with the exception of Batgirl's mission, and Season of Infamy.

For me, the biggest issue is the same as everyone else - the Batmobile. When people clamored for the ability to drive the car, I think it was mostly that we wanted the option to use the car for getting around town. What we didn't want was for the entire game to be reliant on the Batmobile, and the fact that there are stealth missions with the car is absolutely absurd. Whoever had the idea to create missions where you have to hide around a corner in the Batmobile and sneak around should be fired.

I'll agree that abuse of the Batmobile in the game is it's biggest issue. That's what I felt after it. Though I did enjoy it for the most part
I actually bought the Season of Infamy DLC a few weeks ago when it was on sale for £4. I had a feeling beforehand the Season Pass would be a con
Though I did enjoy Season of Infamy (well not the league of shadows part but the rest was fun I thought)

Got and finished this a couple of weeks back, wasn't too bad IMO. Tank bits did drag on a bit though, was annoyed they had all those cool Batmobile skins and you barely get to use them because Tank.

Did they really have to go f***ing overboard with the f***ing Riddler trophies? Got them all in Arkham Asylum: cause there was not that many and it was fun to collect them all. Arkham City: a lot, with some puzzles.. But it was not a requirement to collect them all. Arkham Knight: hundreds! It's f***ing tedious puzzles .. Some can't be done without certain upgrades. Oh and if you want the true ending and to stop The Riddler taunting you every two minutes you have to collect them all.. I just said f*** it, and watched the full ending on YouTube. Just too much tedious grinding. I would kind of like to go back and get the Riddler trophies, but yeah, there's way too many of them. Regarding the Batmobile, I don't know. Driving around Gotham is a lot of fun and the tank mode is kind of neat, but I do agree that there was too much of it. It started to feel like a giant escort mission towards the end, and holy shit did the DLC skins not being playable in combat annoy me. That said, I still do like Arkham Knight and might go back and play it again at some point.

Yeah, I just got this a few weeks back as well. The busy work is starting to wear thin for sure. My biggest issue is I want to spend more time as Nightwing, Robin and Batgirl. Red Hood too. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} I'm also pretty over rehashing the tired story of, "Who's the new masked killer in Gotham that sorta looks like Batman! Durrr!"
It's Jason Todd. It's always Jason. Even when it's not Jason, just double check to make sure that it's super for real not Jason. Because it's probably still Jason.

I had to YouTube how to get some of those trophies. The ones I hated most were the race to the trophy ones and when you had to use the Batmobile sensors.
And don't even get me started on those damn Cobra tank battles.

I just got it and played through it a few weeks ago. And I agree with everyone saying the Batmobile takes up way too much of the game, and actually drags the whole game down. The Battank combat sucks, and actually having STEALTH BATTANK battles is freaking ridiculous. If the Batmobile was just for driving around the city with the occasional chase mission, I think most people would've been perfectly satisfied.
Another big negative: NO BOSS FIGHTS! The closest thing to a boss fight was.. that battank battle with Arkham Knight? Seriously lame. And after all those cool boss battles in City and Origins.
Regardless of all that, the melee combat and stealth sections were better than ever and I never got tired of them, and the graphics were pretty good even though I didn't like most of the character designs as much as the previous games. So overall I still liked it, just not as much as the other 3.

The Court of Owls stuff with "Thomas Wayne Jr"/Lincoln March/Owlman is a mixed bag, but someone like that being the Arkham Knight seems like it would make more sense than {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}just having Jason show up.

Plus {Spoiler}If it was not obvious that the Knight was Jason Todd at firsts, it pretty much tells you when the flashbacks start happening at the movie studio.
Another predictable bit was Barbara Gordon not being dead... Obvious cause Batman took a shit load of fear toxin before the death scene.

They really should taken a cue from the Hush arc and thrown some red herrings as to Arkham Knight identity.

That's exactly how they were in Asylum and City. Also, City had about twice as many....440 to Knight's 234. I think Knight would have been the best in the series if about 1/3 of the content had been cut. Sooooooooo much filler. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much Batmobile. I said it before and I'll say it again...WHY IS TWO FACE ROBBING THREE BANKS? Storywise, Joker fighting Batman from the inside was great. Really showed an understanding of both characters. {Spoiler}I went in thinking Jason Todd could not be the Knight, because he had never once been mentioned in the series. Halfway through I just accepted it was friggin' Jason Todd AGAIN!

The best part of the trophies was collecting them all in normal mode, because then you could just blow through New Game+ with no distractions.

Funnily enough, that was my plan, but for some reason I just couldn't crack the Poison Ivy fight of the Catwoman section and decided I was a little burned out on the game and started Skyrim instead.
