me and one of my friends actually had a conversation about wrestlemania 9 a few days ago... I forget the exact details but we came up with two scenarios for IX i would keep it Bret vs. Yoko, Yokozuna beats Bret to continue his dominant streak... and Hogan doesn't come down. Yeah a wrestlemania ending with a Heel winning hadn't been done at that point but I think it killed Yokozuna's mystique a bit to get beaten by Hogan in a minute. Bret gets a rematch at some main event or something before King of the Ring and loses again (more shenanigans?) ... Hogan wins the contendership and loses at King of the Ring still... and holds it until losing to Bret at X Or Alternatively if Hogan must be included. We have Bret not want Hogan to go after Yoko, and it turns into a Hogan, Bret and Yoko Title feud. The details of this are more hazy than the first one... Well I would have had Bret win by dq, and continue the Wrestlemania has a happy ending tradition and Yoko just destroy him post match, Hogan comes out to make the save, than it is revealed Bret's injuries are too sever, all those title defense finally catches up to him, so he is forced to vacates the title via injury, Hogan and Yoko are decleared the number 1 and 2 contenders and on a historic Monday Night Raw Hogan and Yoko wrestle for the vacant title. Do to some shenanigans from a returning Hacksaw Jim Duggen Hogan wins the title, and they have a rematch at King Of The Ring. Meanwhile Bret makes a heroic at King Of The Ring and wins the tournament as what would happen.

Though I don't know if WWF president Jack Tunney would reward Yokozuna for critically injuring his champion by giving him a title match like that... Unless they write it off as Fuji finding a loophole in the title match contract or something.

If you would have Bret forfeit the title, have a Hogan / Yoko match all happen on the Raw after Wrestlemania, that would begin the traditon of Raw after Wrestlemania when big things happen. Though in that era I don't think Vince would do that, it would want at least one week hype leading to the big match. Back than you needed the "next week" hype.

WM 2000 should've had Rock win the title. I would've preferred if it was one on one HHH/Rock - but part of me is glad that Foley did get to headline a Mania in some capacity.
WM XXX I would prefer if it was Orton vs Batista, and HHH vs Bryan, with the winners of each match wrestling to close out the show (Bryan wins). Basically, a mini tournament.
...I evidently don't like triple threat & four ways as Mania Main Events...

WrestleMania VIII should have been Hogan vs. Flair, Sid vs. Taker, & Savage vs. Roberts like originally planned as the 3 main events. With Hogan, Taker & Savage winning. WrestleMania IX should have been Bret vs. Hogan for the WWF Title with Bret winning. WrestleMania X should have been Bret vs. Luger vs. Yokozuna Triple Threat Match for the WWF Title with Bret winning. WrestleMania XI should have been Diesel vs. HBK in the main event spot. WrestleMania XV should have been Austin vs. The Rock & Taker vs. Kane II in the Hell in a Cell as the main events. With Taker winning of course. WrestleMania 2000 should have been Triple H vs. The Rock with The Rock winning the title. WrestleMania X8 should have been Austin vs. Hogan in the main event. As much as I love Hogan vs. The Rock I still believe that Austin deserved the match more than The Rock & would have been an even bigger match. The other main event could have been The Rock vs. Triple H vs. Jericho for the WWF Title with Triple H winning. HBK should have won the Title at Mania 23 against Cena. WrestleMania XXV should have been Taker vs. HBK in the main event. WrestleMania 29 I would have had The Rock vs. Triple H, Taker vs. Brock, & CM Punk vs. Cena for the Title as the main events. The matches we got all felt pointless, especially Rock/Cena II & Triple H/Brock II. WrestleMania 30 I would have done Taker vs. Cena, Brock vs. Batista, & Bryan vs. Punk for the Title. I also would have saved The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family for WrestleMania instead of doing it at the Chamber PPV.
I agree with your booking, with one exception. Undertaker should've won the vacant World title at Royal Rumble 92. Then, have Sid Justice win the title from him at WM8.

The only thing is there would have never been a Taker Mania streak, and Taker would have likely retired a few years ago.

Yeah, WrestleMania VIII should've been Hogan vs. Flair. You'll never convince me otherwise. This was the one I came to post also. Always been the big, glaring flaw to me. The WWE Network had an MSG show with Hogan/Flair on it from 1991. Flair went over and pinned Hogan, but the decision ended up getting reversed and changed to Hogan winning by DQ. They could've done this at Mania. However, if the rumor of Hogan wanting to retire at/after that show it would've only made sense to have Flair go over. You could run in the entire national guard to f*** Hogan over and keep him strong, but Flair needed the win more to establish himself to the WWF audience.

I absolutely agree with the sentiment that HBK should've went over Cena at 23. I know the argument could be made that it would've hurt Cena's momentum to lose a Mania main event so early in his run, but I think a respectful Cena and giving HBK one more big title win would've made up for that. Hell, they did that hour-long match the next night on Raw, if you want to make Cena the champion again, make it a title match and put Cena over. I'm not usually a fan of one-day title reigns, and in hindsight, of course, it would make Cena a FIFTEEN time champ (instead of 14, assuming the rest of history plays out like it did). But I just think it would've been a really awesome moment and could've actually helped Cena at the time.
Props to HBK though for basically saying "I don't need the title." He wasn't even supposed to be in that match in the first place but HHH got hurt.

WrestleMania VII should have been Hogan vs Warrior II with Hulk getting his win back.
Sgt. Slaughter and Randy Savage would need new matches though.

WrestleMania 13- Make the submission match for the title, don't give Sid the belt after Final Four.
