If you had to change WM Main Events, which would you change on terms of either booking or match order?
For me..
Wrestlemania I would have been Hogan vs Piper with Hogan going over.
Wrestlemania VIII would have been Hogan vs Flair with Hogan going over.
Wrestlemania IX would have been Hogan vs Bret with Bret going over and solidifying his spot.
Wrestlemania XI would have been Diesel vs Shawn in place of LT vs Bam Bam.
Wrestlemania XVI would have been Triple H vs The Rock with The Rock going over.
Wrestlemania XVIII would have been Hogan vs Rock main eventing.
Wrestlemania XXIII would have had Shawn going over Cena.
Wrestlemania XXIV would have been Shawn vs Flair Main Eventing.
Wrestlemania XXV would have been Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels main eventing.
Wrestlemania XXVII would have had The Rock as Guest Ref in the Miz/Cena Match with a grey-ed ending as opposed to what happened.
What would you have changed?

It's easy to want to change Wrestlemania XX being blessed with the gift of 20/20 hindsight. But the truth was, Benoit was the most over wrestler in the company at that point, and MSG had traditionally been hostile to HBK (see Survivor Series 1996, when he was nearly booed out of the building in favor of Sid). I'd at least change the order so Eddie/Angle went on last.

The three changes I'd have made all involve Cena winning the WWE Championship.
WrestleMania 22 - Edge goes in as the defending champion against John Cena getting his rematch. WrestleMania XXVII - Wade Barrett wins the title while part of the Nexus, Cena gets fired but eventually returns and gets the match. WrestleMania XXIX - CM Punk holds the title until WrestleMania rather than the Rumble, at which point he drops it to Cena.

Austin should have defeated Jericho at No Way Out in 2002 and defended the title against Triple H at Mania. They never got any real closure after the Two-Man Power Trip was abruptly cut short and the reaction to their confrontation in the Rumble match that year shows that people liked the idea of them renewing their rivalry, this time with both as babyfaces.
I'd still have booked Rock/Hogan to go on last if I had the choice but Austin/H wouldn't have been as bad of a choice to follow it as Jericho/H was.

Yeah, WrestleMania VIII should've been Hogan vs. Flair. You'll never convince me otherwise.

The only one I wouldn't outright do would be Bret vs. Hogan. Bret would have gotten booed. I have no issue with Yokozuna looking vastly superior to Hogan if they went that route, with Bret eventually finding a way to defeat the monster, whereas Hogan couldn't.

Wrestlemania XI Michaels vs Diesel Wrestlemania XIII Bret vs Austin for the belt, that Bret could've won the week before, or the obv choice, Shawn vs Bret II. Wrestlemania 22 should've ended with Edge vs Cena for the title, with Cena getting his belt back. Wrestlemania 25 should've been Orton against Cena, with Orton beating Cena and winning the title. Or Micahels vs Taker, Orton was over back then, he should've won here. Wrestlemania 27 anything,Punk vs Cena could've easily worked here, they were already feuding anyway. Ideally this would've been Barrett vs Cena. Taker vs HHH could've main evented also Wrestlemania 29 again, Punk vs Cena or Punk vs Cena vs Rock.

WrestleMania VIII should have been Hogan vs. Flair, Sid vs. Taker, & Savage vs. Roberts like originally planned as the 3 main events. With Hogan, Taker & Savage winning.
WrestleMania IX should have been Bret vs. Hogan for the WWF Title with Bret winning.
WrestleMania X should have been Bret vs. Luger vs. Yokozuna Triple Threat Match for the WWF Title with Bret winning.
WrestleMania XI should have been Diesel vs. HBK in the main event spot.
WrestleMania XV should have been Austin vs. The Rock & Taker vs. Kane II in the Hell in a Cell as the main events. With Taker winning of course.
WrestleMania 2000 should have been Triple H vs. The Rock with The Rock winning the title.
WrestleMania X8 should have been Austin vs. Hogan in the main event. As much as I love Hogan vs. The Rock I still believe that Austin deserved the match more than The Rock & would have been an even bigger match. The other main event could have been The Rock vs. Triple H vs. Jericho for the WWF Title with Triple H winning.
HBK should have won the Title at Mania 23 against Cena.
WrestleMania XXV should have been Taker vs. HBK in the main event.
WrestleMania 29 I would have had The Rock vs. Triple H, Taker vs. Brock, & CM Punk vs. Cena for the Title as the main events. The matches we got all felt pointless, especially Rock/Cena II & Triple H/Brock II.
WrestleMania 30 I would have done Taker vs. Cena, Brock vs. Batista, & Bryan vs. Punk for the Title. I also would have saved The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family for WrestleMania instead of doing it at the Chamber PPV.

Wouldn't have had LT vs Bam Bam go on last.
I would have had HHH win at WrestleMania 20.
Cena would have beat Rock at 28.
WM 29 would have been Punk vs Cena.

II: WAS: Hogan/Bundy. WOULD CHANGE TO: Hogan vs. Piper. (Mania I needed the glitz of Mr.T more.) IV: WAS: DiBiase/Savage. WOULD CHANGE TO: DiBiase/Hogan (DiBiase winning the title, then Savage winning at Summerslam, would likely have been a bit better. Hogan gets a storyline to write him out to film "No Holds Barred" (he needs to keep training), and a heel champ is on top for the first time in WWF's national reign.) VII: WAS: Hogan/Slaughter. WOULD CHANGE TO: Warrior/Hogan II (the Slaughter reign was just brutal- better to at least take the leap of faith of a rematch where Hogan got his win back if Warrior was failing.) VIII: WAS: Hogan/Sid. WOULD CHANGE TO: Hogan/Flair (the match people wanted to see most.) IX: WAS: Bret/Yoko TO Hogan/Yoko. WOULD CHANGE TO: Bret/Hogan (If Hogan wanted to be in the main, put over Bret instead and run with it.) X: WAS: Bret/Owen, Luger/Yoko, Bret/Yoko. WOULD CHANGE TO: Bret/Luger (A good final, Luger needed to come through and get THE win over Yoko to end his storyline, even if he lost to Bret.) XI: WAS: LT/Bam Bam. WOULD CHANGE TO: Diesel/Shawn (shift the match order.) XIII: Sid/Taker. WOULD CHANGE TO: Austin/Bret. (Shift the match order.) XV: Austin/Rock. WOULD CHANGE TO: Austin/Vince (When Austin beat Vince to get there, Rock was wearing a $500 Finland 1980 hockey jersey.) 2000: Show/Triple H/Rock/Foley. WOULD CHANGE TO: Triple H vs. The Rock (Show and Foley made it too much.) X-8: Jericho/HHH. WOULD CHANGE TO: Rock/Hogan. (Shift matches.) 20: Benoit/HHH/Shawn. WOULD CHANGE TO: Lesnar/Benoit (even hindsight-wise, the abrupt switch to Raw hurt that storyline more, and Lesnar vs. Benoit, especially with Career vs. Career and title, would have helped much more.) 21: Batista vs. Triple H. WOULD CHANGE TO: Cena/JBL (a toss-up, really- but shift matches. I'd say Cena's anointment > Batista's anointment.) 22: Cena vs. Triple H. WOULD CHANGE TO: Cena/Edge (the Cena/Edge feud was getting good and could have merited the 22 main.) 25: Orton/HHH. WOULD CHANGE TO: Taker/Shawn (nothing could have followed it.) 27: Miz/Cena. Would change to: Miz/Cena, The Rock as special guest referee (Same match, but give The Rock a PURPOSE for his calling out of Cena all this time that's satisfying.) 29: Rock/Cena II. Would change to: Rock/Cena/Punk (the "Twice in a Lifetime" thing worked, but adding Punk would satisfy some people, give it a bit of a change, and make it work a little more.

I would have pulled Andre from the Hogan vs Andre program and gone with the big money Bill Jack Haynes program.

Wrestlemania VIII would have been Hogan vs Flair with Hogan going over. I would argue for Flair over. Hogan was already established with that audience. Putting over Flair would make him an even bigger player for the WWF going forward. But had it actually headlined VIII, I'm sure Hogan would have gone over. That's been proven, over time, to be a McMahon weakness, though. Even when the former "competition" is under his own umbrella, he's unwilling to allow his new acquisition to be booked strongly from a storyline perpective (see: WCW invasion failure).

For Wrestlemania X, I would have Lex Luger beat Yokozuna in the first championship match, then have Bret go over Luger.
For Wrestlemania 2000, I would have had Foley win the 4-way, then vacate it the next night, with a tournament set up for Backlash (Linda stated that would be the stipulation if Foley did end up winning), with Rock going over HHH in the finals.

i know Punk comes out bitter in his interviews, but he does have point about wm 27 main event. Punk and Cena were feuding anyway and would have made much better match than Miz/Cena. even with Rockyference.
Barrett v Cena would have been fine as well if they weren't so dumb in killing the feud in the chairs match.

Wrestlemania 2000 would be the Backlash 2000 main event a month earlier.

This would have also given us Jericho-Hall, who had surprisingly great chemistry in their few meetings in WCW. Jericho would have had to turn face, but he could have done it, and the promos of Jericho vs. Hall or Jericho vs. nWo might have been gold.

As much as I like Austin vs. Rock matches, I would change WrestleMania XIX to Austin vs. Hogan, HBK vs. Rock, and Undertaker vs. Jericho. And have Booker T defeat Triple H to win the belt.

For Wrestlemania X, I would have Lex Luger beat Yokozuna in the first championship match, then have Bret go over Luger. Yeah but I am glad Bret got his revenge over Yokozuna, had it been that way, Bret would always have the astric that he never beat Yoko, he needed Luger to do it for him. Of course you could have had Bret defend the title agaisnt Yoko at the next PPV and get his clean win over him.

me and one of my friends actually had a conversation about wrestlemania 9 a few days ago... I forget the exact details but we came up with two scenarios
for IX i would keep it Bret vs. Yoko,
Yokozuna beats Bret to continue his dominant streak... and Hogan doesn't come down.
Yeah a wrestlemania ending with a Heel winning hadn't been done at that point but I think it killed Yokozuna's mystique a bit to get beaten by Hogan in a minute.
Bret gets a rematch at some main event or something before King of the Ring and loses again (more shenanigans?) ... Hogan wins the contendership and loses at King of the Ring still... and holds it until losing to Bret at X
Or Alternatively if Hogan must be included. We have Bret not want Hogan to go after Yoko, and it turns into a Hogan, Bret and Yoko Title feud. The details of this are more hazy than the first one...
