When Triple H goes over a guy he really should have put over or derails a push, someone will always come up with an excuse as to why he needed to do what he did... So what outlandish reasoning do you think people will come up with should he add Daniel Bryan to the list of casualties?
I'll start with 'The fans loved Daniel Bryan, but they weren't in love with Daniel Bryan.'

Daniel Bryan is too similar to Chris Benoit. Allowing him to win could upset people when they remember that Chris Benoit existed and killed people.

This is just building Bryan more so when he wins the rematch, it makes for a better moment. Wrestlemania isn't that big of a deal.

Bryan is Tomorrow and last time I checked, it was still Today. Therefore, it only makes sense that he job to Yesterday, otherwise Today will never become Tomorrow.

People will love him if he wins, but they will love him even more if he is screwed out of his victory.
His entire character is that he always comes close to his final big decisive victory but he never catches his break. Let's say he beats HHH, wins the championship at 'mania, beats John Cena and Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker and whoever else challenges him for it and then what? If you book him as a dominant champion people are just gonna turn on him, the same way they turned on Cena 8 years ago.

This is probably no stretch but if he does the excuse will probably be something like: HHH needed a big win over the most popular babyface in the company to establish himself as the new Vince McMahon like evil boss. Something to really solidify him being an evil heel boss for the long term. Sadly, I can really see this becoming a reality at 30. Hopefully it won't but it's HHH as a heel and this guy has a long history of winning feuds/matches when he had absolutely no business doing so and it won't surprise me at all to see this happen again.
