For all the hate he gets, and the general acceptance that no matter what WWE wants you to believe Triple H was never "the" guy, he's still going to leave a lasting mark on the WWE. So I'm curious, what does everyone think Trips is going to be remembered for more?
I'm prone to lean more towards his early DeGeneration X run, specifically with the Outlaws and X-Pac, but his current position as COO has me wondering what he's got in store.

Reign of Terror and Evolution kind of bleed into each other, as they happened at the same time.
Also he'll be remembered for better or for worse, as the guy who took over most of the duties once Vince dies/retires.

When talking about the pros of his career, it will all ultimately run through DX and his association with Shawn Michaels. When talking about the cons, it will run through the reign of terror and his association with the McMahon family. For better or worse, those are his two biggest footprints in wrestling.

Reign of terror which is a shame because his 99/2000 stuff was off the charts. They really lost the plot on the whole The Game gimmick which is a shame cause it was gold.

Main eventer, and probably, the guy who takes over for Vince. We'll see, I guess, it can be surprising what someone's main footprint is.

It's too early to tell.
Alot depends on how he and Stephanie run WWE once Vince retires or passes away and leaves them in charge.
But as of right now, I think he's mainly remembered for his singles run and "reign of terror".

buried a million people, never drew a dime. I know you're kidding, but unless Backlash was "Rock vs _____" and he just flipped around a lot and pretended to get beat up, then he was part of one of WWE's biggest paydays, among others. Of course people generally buy PPVs and tickets to see the faces, but they need to see them face compelling villains, and 2000 Triple H was basically the perfect foil for the faces of the day.

He is going to be the corporate face of this company for a long time and that will eventually overshadow his career. He will still be remembered as a wrestler but to the next generations he is going to be the new Vince McMahon.

As an extension of that I believe smarks will focus on his singles reigns be it the reign of terror or his 2000ish prime while more casual viewers will remember DX, probably the PG flavoured DX for the sake of this poll.

I think it depends on how he handles company business in the next 15 years. His "BURIED!" Legacy will grow or shrink depending on this.

Dude that wasn't as good as Shawn Michaels and overcompensated for this for years by trying to be the coolest dude ever.

he'll always be "that 4th wheel who drove fans away" as far as his wrestling goes. he still has time to be "the guy who looked after his employees and booked a good product" as a behind-the-scenes guy, though. he just has to avoid turning into Verne Gagne where he's still making the show all about him long after everyone else wanted him to go away.

Biggest name in the early to mid 2000s by default and made sure that he remained that way for as long as possible by derailing the pushes of those around him. He was kept as -the- guy against the wishes of the fanbase and the WWE saw their audience shrink as a result.
