In the interest of fairness, I actually gave Chrisley a fair shot last night.
There's a really cute puppy on the show, but otherwise it's just really uncomfortable viewing. Don't know if any of you got this vibe from the commercials, but Chrisley comes off as if he's trying too hard to be entertaining in a home movie, and the rest of his family just look and feel so uncomfortable being on camera. Considering how much of it took place at their home, I felt like I was watching someone's private space being invaded. Maybe that's the appeal of reality television for some, but I just felt bad for everyone that Chrisley was making come along on his ride.
It's also over-edited and over-produced. I know, I know all reality television, heck, all television is, but the particular way different scenes are cut together and the overt musical cues are inserted, it just reeks of an overworked crew forced to labor over a mess of a show in efforts to make the footage somewhat salvageable.
It's weird. Chrisley isn't self-aware, but he seems aware of something that isn't grounded in any sort of reality, and while if the show were just him it might make a fascinating and engrossing portrait for a sociopath, his poor family being dragged into this makes me feel like I'm watching a social snuff film.
I'll probably give it another shot in a few episodes just incase I caught a particularly rough pilot, but this is one of those instances where I feel the USA Network is trying to hurt my feelings.
"Sirens" is great though.

Here's to hoping both of these shows are cancelled in short order so we can stop having the ads for the things pestering us during Raw. Though they're still probably less annoying than that horribly fake voice that was always used in the Royal Pains ads. They'll just be replaced with ads for whatever terrible show comes next. I hated that "This is exciting" one they'd use for Psych. That was the worst.

I hope "Playing House" does well. I'm a fan of its stars, Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham, from their appearances on Comedy Bang Bang and Improv4Humans.
Guys, podcasts are amazing.

Shame that Sirens did bad, but to be fair, I didn't watch it. I'm gonna have to go take a look now, hopefully its on Hulu. Rescue Me is incredible so if it's as well written as that, this should be a winner.

I thought Sirens looked okay from the ads but not good enough for me to watch it (in fairness, no tv show does that for me) but god-awful Chrisley makes me want to get active and write an angry e-mail to USA network, JUST from the ads! If USA loses Raw, they might want to really think about how they are going to structure their programming because re-runs and (inserted CM Punk pipebomb reference) crappy shows aren't going to get them anywhere. They at least haven't fallen to Comedy Central Wednesday night level with South Park being the lead in for some show that might make it to season 2, but their current Monday line ups aren't looking good.....

Decided to be fair and just watched an episode of Sirens. It's... okay. I didn't particularly find it funny, but it wasn't hard to sit through or anything. Seems like it could eventually be pretty solid.

I like Sirens but think it would be better-suited to FX where bawdy comedies are the usual deal. Maybe FX thought a Leary-produced paramedics show on the heels of a Leary-produces fireman show would be overkill.

If they're smart, they'll cancel Chrisley and immediately bring back USA Cartoon Express and Up All Night.

I was talking to someone today that told me I should check out a hilarious new show called "Chrisley Knows Best"..... I can't even handle the commercials, how am I supposed to watch a full episode?

I will say this about the show, it actually managed to not be as bad as I expected. Not that it is good, but my bar was set so low.

When you use the term "Good news, everyone!" you have to be talking about Futurama. It's the law.

If they're smart, they'll cancel Chrisley and immediately bring back USA Cartoon Express and Up All Night. As awesome as that would be, they dont have the broadcast rights to any of the old cartoon express shows (aside from maybe itsy bitsy spider and problem child) and ThisTv is the new home for b-movies.

Seriously curious question: What did they like about it? Any particular scenes or moments or characters?

Now maybe USA will make the announcement that White Collar is getting a season 6. This is looking like they'll have at least 2 hours to fill, don't make it 3 by getting rid of a well liked show. White Collar is in trouble? Dammit, I like that show. If Chrisley is bombing hopeflly that will help Collar's cause. Granted Chrisley has to be cheap to make but those ratings are crap There will be a season 6, it will be the final season and it will be only 6 episodes. www.deadline.com/2014/03/usa-white-collar-six-episode-final-season/
