In before "stupid nerds on the internet, don't you know about Koch or Monsanto?". This award means nothing, and EA gets troll-votes because they're the only ones who will react.

Which is why I think they are a sleeper to win this year.

The anti-EA circlejerk will most likely continue, but I can also see a dark horse candidate in Sea World due to kneejerk reactions to a bleeding heart documentary. Regardless, actually horrible companies will not win.

Target should win, thanks in part to the large compromise back in December.

Target should win, thanks in part to the large compromise back in December. Not really, that stuff is going to happen, and has nothing to do with how they run things. A crime was committed against them, not their fault. There is no company who wont fall victim to cyber attacks if smart people with computers decide they are a target. And Target wasn't even the only one who got attacked in that event, nr the only ones that year.

I can see Time Warner beating EA actually.
Surprised UPS didn't make the cut.

Yeah, but when stuff comes out after that the breach date range may have been longer, other information besides card numbers were compromised, and that they may have ignored alarms when the breach began, that seems to bother me much more than EA's issues at the moment. I agree that it can happen to anyone, because that's just the risk of doing business. But hearing the aftermath stuff bothers me a little bit more.

The only thing I've heard about these lists are when EA wins.
Looking at those brackets, there's a whole bunch of scum that's not going to get play. I'm not even gonna blame people if EA gets another win.
Though it's sad that Koch Industries, McDonald's, Comcast or Wal-Mart don't get their well-deserved honors... Then again, other than EA being really thin-skinned, the only thing I get now out of this is how effective these company's PR teams are. Like, really man. People seriously believing ELECTRONIC ARTS is worse than friggin' Wells Fargo or Sallie Mae? Electronic Arts needs to clean house in PR.
SeaWorld might come away with the win (or loss?) but that's only because Blackfish was everywhere for a minute and if there's one thing that raises a lot of ire it's mistreatment of arguably cute animals.

Yes, EA sucks but Time Warner deserves this the most. They have horrible customer service, not to mention they're one of the biggest opponents to Net Neutrality.

My girlfriend is a manager at McDonald's, though I guess we're in Canada, but I'd vote for that company.

Disappointing that FAN didn't make the cut. Come on people, we really need to work harder this year on being the worst.

My girlfriend is a manager at McDonald's, though I guess we're in Canada, but I'd vote for that company. Considering the big lawsuit in the US over wage theft, I think a lot of people would here as well. Mine is probably for Monsanto

I'd say McDonalds is a dark horse. They have been epically dickish this past year. Also, how did WWE not even get a nomination for this?

I hope Sea World doesn't win. I was already over Blackfish when CNN used it to manufacture news because musicians dropped out of SW's concert series...but then "activists" abused my wife when she posted pictures on Twitter of my son and daughters first time there last week.
Enough is enough.

Though it's sad that Koch Industries, McDonald's, Comcast or Wal-Mart don't get their well-deserved honors... At least they got nominated. Duke Energy was not and they just caught intentionally polluting a river just upstream of a drinking water facility. I won't get into the reason they say they had the legal right to do so (politics rule and everything), but even if the state gave them a license to do so it is still unbelievably heartless and quite evil in my opinion. Bear in mind that they did this while under investigation from federal prosecutors and on the heels of polluting a different drinking water source on a grand scale.
