Did he get his tattoo surgically removed? CGI is a wondrous thing. I believe I saw him punching Cerberus in the face at a certain point as well. I doubt we're getting all of his labors, though. Even if you gave it all the bare minimum of time, maybe a couple of minutes, it wouldn't fit into the movie. Unless they montage the less flashy ones. True, they might cut ones like the Apples or the Birds. I also think they may drop the Mares cause well....it involves feeding Diomedes to the Mares and that might be too violent. I can see them keeping the Stables just cause the visual of him rerouting two rivers to clean them would be cool. Same with him getting the Cattle cause he has to fight a three headed, six armed monster to get them. They might drop the one with the Bull as well(though I personally wish they do it just for the irony of The Rock fighting a bull.....). They have to keep the Hind in, though. They just have to. So Lion, Hydra, Hind, Boar, Stables, Cattle, and Cerberus. Not a bad set up right there. The question then is do they do Hippolyta's Belt? The Apples one is the most badass because he has to hold up the flippin sky!!!

I doubt he'll go on crossdressing adventures with Queen Omphale of Lydia in this one.
Maybe the sequel.

Did he get his tattoo surgically removed? CGI is a wondrous thing. Doubt it was CGI, considering the amount of motion involved in those shots, it would be a pain to erase it digitally. I imagine they went with makeup and just retouched it digitally a bit if anything "leaked" during filming.

Trailer looks awesome. Nothing against Brett Ratner (as I loved all three Rush Hours and X-Men 3), but I'm very surprised he's directing this one.
I doubt all of the labors are in, but as long as the movie is just like that trailer, I'm game. I love The Rock's action movies anyway, so I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun even if unintentionally.

I showed this trailer to my Grade 9 class today, as we had just finished our mythology unit (which had a focus on the various interpretations of Hercules). They were pretty excited to see an actual representation of some of the Labours. I'm not going to lie - I wasn't expecting to see the Erymanthian Boar in an adaptation any time soon... but I'm glad that I was wrong!
My fear, though, is that they'll do a montage of the Labours at some point when Hercules meets a new character ("You've not heard of the man called Hercules?..." *fades to black, then clips of the Labours*), then go in an entirely new - and lame - direction. Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being the case.
All things considered, though, I'd be impressed to see some of the more obscure tasks tackled (the Augean Stables, the Stymphalian birds, Hippolyte's girdle). Time will tell.
(So far I see: Cerberus, the Nemean Lion, the Hydra, the Erymanthian Boar)

You're right.
It looks crispy, G.I. Joe ruled despite a Cobra Commander with no charisma and general awfulness, and it's a Stanley Kubrick movie.

Effort! Honest to God effort! This blows "that other Hercules movie" straight out of the water by a nuke straight towards Saturn

Wow! A movie based on a Greek myth that actually follows the myth? I didn't have much faith in this movie when I first heard about it, but this trailer really has me geeked. Hopefully the final product doesn't disappoint. Then again, it's Ratner.

I'm in.
That scene with the lion looks all kinds of badass.
I wonder how big of a role Tamina has in it?

I preferred the first trailerbecause it made it seem like his scream was a low pitched trombone.

We'll see if it does any better than the last Hercules movie did. The Rock + Brett Ratner > Kellan Lutz + Renny Harlin. That's kind of a mathematical fact, actually. Google and Wikipedia AND WebMD says so. ;p Did he get his tattoo surgically removed? CGI is a wondrous thing. Is that CGI, or just (fairly extensive) makeup? I mean, he didn't have the tattoo in Walking Tall - I would doubt they'd spent the effort to CGI out a tattoo.
