Just based on quality, nothing to do with their impact on the business or kayfabe accomplishments.
I pick Kevin Nash. Late 95/early 96 Diesel was like proto-Douchetista, he was on his way out and got comfortable showing his real self. And Batista never had a match as good as Diesel vs. HBK from Good Friends, Better Enemies. I find Nash to be a better overall worker, (even though Batista was a better athlete at one point), and definitely the better talker and more engaging personality.

I really liked Big Dave from 05 - 10 so I have to go with him. As for Nash, I never liked the guy.

I love Kevin Nash.
I did toss Batista vote in that his feud with Triple H was one of the best executed Wrestlemania builds to a title match of the modern era, maybe period, in that it really kind of was the perfect way to end the Reign of Terror. Pity, though, that Batista has absolutely zero chemistry with some opponents, and in the case of Booker T, it was someone he was pitted against a lot, even though it sucked so badly.

I know it said not to take past accomplishments, but listening to MLW radio, there was talk about Batista being a huge draw overseas as they would market him from being local to every place they went in Europe, when I do believe he's part Greek and part Philippino. As a draw, Batista blows Kevin Nash out of the water. But then again, everyone as a draw blows Kevin Nash out of the water.
Skill wise, I'm going back to Batista. Nash's matches weren't the best, and he was tough as a top guy baby face champion because he couldn't work with any smaller heels as it would be kind of awkward. The best kinds of champions are medium size guys or small guys, like say, a Daniel Bryan who can be larger then life and potentially overcome odds, as a baby face champion. As a heel it could work because Nash is the big guy and can bully people. But as well, Nash's reputation has kind of killed off what impact he did have, because he kept himself afloat as booker and as a power figure in WCW.
So, if it's just quality you're looking at, Batista by a mile. But, if it's everything else, yeah, Batista by a mile still. One thing Batista has is he comes across as naturally this douche, especially at his age. The fact that he's in his mid 40s and dresses like he does really speaks to a guy can so easily become an amazing heel.

Nash is WAY better on the mic, and they're about equal in the ring. Nash wins.

Nash is funnier, but Batista is better at every other aspect. I disagree strongly that Nash is a better worker than Batista, Batista is far superior.

I always felt like Kevin Nash, for his physical limitations, had a great sense of who he was in the ring, and thus really good psychology. Batista is a better "car" as someone recently put it, he can be carried to a better match becuase he has more physical ability. But a lot his offense looks like shit, especially his punches, and he isn't very good at being the heel in control of the match. Kinda weird to say someone could have better matches but isn't as good a worker, but I see them as different things. And in the end, they've probably had a similar number of really good matches, not a high total for either guy.

Nash is the shit, one of my favorites. I like Batista a lot too, even if this current run has soured me on him a little, but if I have to choose it's Nash.

I'm not too fond of either of them, but I've gotta go with Nash because he has entertaining shoots and had that sarcastic remark on the Arrival pre-show where he talked about how much he loves flippy dudes. He's definitely got a douchey streak but it manifests in an amusing way instead of a "smarks suck my balls #dreamer" sort of way.

Nash's personality can't be touched by Batista. He just had something.

He can be so funny yet extremely insightful, even if I don't agree with some of his opinions I always get where he's coming from. I could listen to him talk about wrestling for hours and hours.

Exactly. He does have a good mind for the business, albeit a somewhat old-fashioned and outdated one, and he's also a good enough storyteller for the bits of his shoots that aren't all the gossipy shit everyone looks for are just as enjoyable.

Nash definitely. Anything Batista has done was never as good as anything Nash did from 1995-1998. Also, Nash has a much better personality & mic skills.
