The WWE Official decides to have a heart to heart with John Cena about his character and how hitting Bray with a chair is not the kind of man that he is.
Easily a missed gem from a great Mania.

That kinda made me laugh, since no one ever expects the referee, of all people, to try and talk John Cena out of embracing his dark side.

This should be the beginning of Making A Difference Ref. He doesn't just call the matches, he's changing lives.

The whole crowd at my place lost it at this! There was no ref John, the magic was in you all along!

I loved this part! I want that referee to give hope to young wrestlers who are disadvantaged during matches ala inspirational coach movies or something. Some heel locks in a sleeper, but instead of checking the arm, that ref is all "You could go to sleep right now, but we both know that's not the kind of man you are. Are you just gonna lay down for this guy? Or are you gonna rise up and win this thing! It's your choice."

Are you really gonna beat Bret with his own finishing move in-front of his home nation? That's not the kind of man you are. You should know better."

I really liked that. I think it's fantastic news we're exploring areas of Cena's psyche other than "lols, come get some". A fear I had was that the feud would just see him 'Cena off' any mind-games/impact the Wyatt's were having on him. The fact that he's showing he's being affected I think helps both the angle, the opponent and Cena himself.

Someone needs to put some angel wings and a halo over the ref.

Are you sure you just don't want to talk about the death of your father? *Kane breaks down into tears yelling about how he misses his daddy*

It would've been ok if it was a special guest ref that had something to do with the story, this was just a guy giving an obvious storyline more "help" than it needed.

See Savage vs Warrior from WM7 when Hebner was pleading with Warrior to return to the ring rather than just thinking "screw it" and counting him out. It added something. Not much, but something.

Seems like there could be potential for a Photoshop thread with Making a Difference Ref trying to talk wrestlers out of doing things throughout history.

Forgot his responsibility and turned into a mark.
Shouldn't he have DQ'ed Cena for hitting Harper with the chair?
Or sticking Rowan through the barricade?
