Global Force Wrestling has pulled out all the stops to replace former WWE Superstar ® George T Murdoch (Brodus Clay) after he was yanked off the debut weekend shows by those spiteful spites at TNA. well try as they might those haters off in Nashville will not keep the GFW down, because they done went and brought in the big guns. now facing ROH wrestler Moose at the debut show is...KEVIN MATTHEWS!!! yes the former WWE development wrestler (for about three months) has since gone on to hone his craft and crisscross the globe with historic bouts ranging from the tropical heat southern New Jersey all the way up to the frozen tundra of northern New Jersey with occasional trips to New York, and is now making his way down to Jackson, Tennessee! now i know what you're thinking: how in the hell are they going to top the Kevin Matthews?! simple. at night two of GFW's star studded debut weekend, Moose will be going one-on-one with the man, the myth, the legend, former IWA: Mid-South Heavyweight Champion KONGO KONG!!! sadly though, after losing the title one week ago, the prestigious IWA: Mid-South Heavyweight Championship will not be on the line. you naysayers and poo-pooers have been put on notice. the Force is a force to be reckoned with! You laugh but Kongo Kong vs Moose is 1000% better than Moose vs Tyrus. Kong is so underrated it's sad. Run-in by Squirrel or I riot.

Ballpark shows are such a bad idea. Highg schools would look better.

Caught this in my Twitter feed. GFW streamed their show via some app or other, and apparently this was how they filmed it. (Mutual follow tried to turn their phone sideways, the video turned right along with it.) I'm guessing they used periscope, which admittedly I've never used but filming like that is inexcusable. Yeah, it was periscope and to be fair it was only like that for I believe the first match or two before they fixed it. It shouldn't have happened in the first place but it's worth pointing out it wasn't like that the entire show.

I don't care if NJPW did not book it, but Can we agree the Jim Cornette with The Bullet Club means that The Bullet Club has jumped the shark?

May not be a good crowd, but the softball deal is a way to actually make money (not making a ton, but not losing money). GFW is getting paid to put on the shows at events that are already going to take place. Jarrett did the same thing with TNA.

well say what you well about their attendance figures, i'm sure they did gangbusters with the live merch
a Slap Nutz (only $25) t-shirt and a Global Force Wrestling guitar? that's a straight up money making combo right there!

Okay...so maybe Dixie wasn't the SOLE problem in a high place for TNA all these years...a "Slap Nutz" shirt in 2015?

Looks like one of those TNA house shows Cornette always gets his "hyuck hyuck durrs" from.

It's hard to know how successful these shows are. Are the wrestling matches attracting some people to go to the minor league games that otherwise wouldn't have? Are the potential extra fans who come to see the wrestling worth the investment to pay Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling? It's not a very risky show for Jarrett and Global Force. It's a financially viable way to run shows.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's brilliant or anything, but it's a low-risk way to actually make money putting on wrestling shows. Of course some of the things Jarrett is doing don't seem as financially wise, namely doing TV tapings in Las Vegas if he doesn't even have a TV deal in place.
