I was led to believe that Japan was immune from this kind of thing, that it was the escape from the mind-numbery that is US mainstream pro wrestling. The internet LIED to me, man.

Jado & Gedo love American wrestling, and the Bullet Club is hot.
Puro booking 101. Foreigner is usually a heel. Put him the Bullet Club because it's easy and he knows AJ.
Hardly Jarrett's fault. He's just trying to get a promotion off the ground.

He's just trying to get a promotion off the ground. If he wants to get a promotion of the ground he could actually try acquiring talent and putting a show together. With WWE in cost cutting mode and TNA being TNA, he needs to stop screwing around and speed up the process.

No reason to speed up what is likely a lengthy process of getting an entire company off the ground.

From what I have read, they think GFW might be promoting as soon as this autumn, which seems pretty soon to me.

It's an imaginary promotion until they run a show. Any show. Anywhere. In front of any fans, buying any tickets.
I haven't read all of the posts, but has anyone in this thread pointed out how they spelled the name of the promotion incorrectly in their own Twitter avatar? Top notch!

With Jarrett's money and connections it really shouldn't be hard to put just one show together. Get a ring, get a venue, get some production equipment. Get 5-10 names and 5-10 nobodies (some cheap but motivated talents willing to step up) and put together a small 5-8 match card. Just do some iPPVs in the meantime until a TV deal comes along and slowly expand from there. I think Jarrett is trying to start big, and it might ultimately not work out. Jarrett need to get his first few shows going ASAP. GFW is just a glorified E-fed until then.

GFW: Had 6000 partners, never drew a dime.

At this point, it almost sounds like Jarrett is just starting some sort of club. "Hey, do you like wrestling? Well then you're in the club!"

One thing I don't get is when people are look at this as "Wrestlings Last Hope" when it doesn't even exist. People talk about GFW as if it's already a "thing" e.g. "when TNA folds they can just go work for GFW" or "Jarrett will pick up some of these guys when WWE releases them", when Jarrett hasn't even planned an actual show yet. Say what you will about the 482716494.111394 attempts at "beating the dead horse of ECW" but at least they could get the ball rolling in a timely fashion. And with nowhere near as many connections as Jarrett.

Really? Wrestleclash? I mean, their shows are really fun but they're the Australian equivalent of DDT. I would have thought that they'd go with their partner promotion Wrestlerock or go with MCW.

They've got no roster, no base of operations, no projected start date, no channel.. literally nothing but announcements of partners. Great, it's like measuring success via Youtube likes so far.

Yeah, it's frustrating. That said, I am kind of glad Jeff's seemingly trying to get all his ducks in a row. After bullshit like early TNA's PPV numbers being inflated by an incompetent/outright criminal employee left scars in the company that are still being felt today, when they expanded beyond their capability to sustain themselves based on shitty numbers. I don't blame him for trying to be damn sure he's going to have a hit.
