The thing is, if they ran a show right now with Jeff Jarrett, a few indie guys, and some people from around the world that most fans hadn't heard of, there would be a ton of comments about what a joke it was and how it wasn't living up to the hype. It's a no-win situation, really.

People seemed to forgot the first post that the GFW isn't going to start up until 2015. So while people complaining about the lack of name signing or shows it's because Jarrett likely learned from TNA start and is making sure he has everything ready. Make sense. I mean how do you for sure sign someone on contract in Aug when you first show isn't going to start until Feb (The rumored start month)

From all information available at this point, it seems a lot of effort is being dedicated to setting up a solid base and infrastructure going forth; not necessarily in terms of just talent, but also key holds into other markets, partnerships and potential dibs on international prospects/feeder system.

I don't understand why people are so negative about everything. Here's a guy trying to start up a new wrestling company and I see people who are practically looking for a reason to call it a failure or hate on it before it even officially starts. Why are we not all getting behind this with a little optimism and rooting for its success? It's not like we're being forced to watch or buy something we don't want.

I don't see a reason to be excited over months of hype with only a name, logo, and partnerships with other promotions being announced. Most of the hype could have been saved for later if/when they announce they're actually running a show. They're really not giving us much to talk about.

I'm not really excited either, but I'm also not one of those who are moaning about it like its very proto-existence is an inconvenience to me. I just assume that Jarrett knows a bit more about getting a company off the ground than all the very helpful people on message boards.

I believe the person a few posts above stated that GFW isn't starting up until 2015, possibly February. This gives them about 6 months or a little less to sign talent and start doing shows. I think they're more than ready but not willing to do anything just yet. I think they're waiting to see what happens with TNA.

It's fine if they don't want to announce a roster or shows, but what exactly is their current hype strategy accomplishing? Word of mouth? But what word is there to really spread? Did they really need to start the hype a year before launch? If Jarrett still needs this hype campaign to attract investors and/or a tv network, then I'm concerned about GFW's viability as a business. This could easily be another TNA, but this time there probably won't be a Panda Energy to prevent them from going out of business after a few months.

It's a no-win situation, really. It doesn't have to be that way though. It isn't living up to the hype because it's being overhyped from nothing. No one's saying get a bunch of nobodies. It wouldn't be that hard to get a few fairly known name indy guys, some decently known former TNA guys, the few ECW alumni that can actually still go, and/or some hungry WWE Alumni that never got their fair shot. People seemed to forgot the first post that the GFW isn't going to start up until 2015. So while people complaining about the lack of name signing or shows it's because Jarrett likely learned from TNA start and is making sure he has everything ready. Make sense. I mean how do you for sure sign someone on contract in Aug when you first show isn't going to start until Feb (The rumored start month) But it doesn't seem like he's learned from TNA. TNA only went down hill because they threw away too much money and tried too hard to compete with WWE instead of being the best TNA they can be. It feels more like Jarrett is trying to start big rather than starting small and expanding down the line. TNA actually got that part right for a bit, but just got too big for their britches. At least TNA had an actual product ready when Spike came calling. Jarrett should at least tape a few shows just to see what will and what won't work in front of the camera just for the sake of having some kind of "pilot" to pitch to the networks.

I don't know what promotions due exclusive contracts, but the talent is there if Jarret has the cash.
AJ Styles, Del Rio, Doc Gallows, hell, most of the bullet club. Rey wants out of WWE.
I still think that there's a market for a puro-style American wrestling.

Honestly I'm looking forward to Global Force. I haven't watched WWE regularly since 2006 and TNA is a chore to watch. I do like ROH but it's very expensive to acquire their stuff legally therefore I often miss out.
Global Force with a national TV deal and PPV's could become my new favourite company and I'm sure at least some of you feel the same way.

So sometime in the summer a show will happen in LV?
GFW wins for being the vaguest promotion to ever get going. No wrestlers announced, no matches signed, no idea about the production, set up, or anything.
"Who will be there? Will there be an audience? Will there be a wrestilng ring? Will there be referees?
Seriously.
We don't know."

Honestly, by now I thought they'd given up on actually being a promotion. There's quite a bit of money in being a distributor, after all, and it's prob'ly less work.

Who will be there? Jeff Jarrett and some other guys
Who will be the champion? Jeff Jarrett
Who will care? No one and Jeff's immediate family
