I like how only the Nex-Gen Championship is the only championship that changes hands so far in GFW.

so Cody Rhodes asked for his release from WWE, went to TNA, and then won the GFW NEX*GEN Championship?

NWA heavyweight champion Cody Rhodes is happening in 2017. That title is a couple steps ahead of all GFW titles in importance and Bruce Tharpe will love to put the belt around Dusty's kid & take a mark pic with him. Plus why Sonjay Dutt kept holding the Nex Gen title? Nothing about him screams Next Generation anymore.

Also when they going to address the tag team title situation since the Bollywood Boyz are now WWE employees?

Also when they going to address the tag team title situation since the Bollywood Boyz are now WWE employees? Does GFW even really have a tag team division? I watched half of the tournament matches they had to determine the champions, and I can only recall the Bollywood Boys, Reno Scum (who are primarily associated with West Coast indies), the Killer Elite Squad ( on their status), and Bullet Club members DOC Gallows and Karl Anderson. I think they are just going to pretend those straps don't even exist. That, or The Club can challenge the Bollywood Boys for the titles at a WWE house show.

I sense that Double J will do some type of tag tourney with some indy in Tennessee or Kentucky since that is where GFW is still considered a thing and his name holds some value.

Man, this Cody Rhodes indy run is the complete opposite of setting the world on fire. It exposed him as what WWE thought he was and fans refused to accept: A talented midcarder who needs a gimmick to get over and not ready for the main event.

I'm from Kentucky and I'm not sure that GFW has ever been considered a thing here. Personally, I legitimately forgot it even existed at all.

Someone should run a King of the Shindies tournament and book Cody to win it. He wouldn't be doing any worse than he is now.

Cody Rhodes defeated Sonjay Dutt for the NEX*GEN championship. Look at the pain in his eyes on the photo on the right....it's like he's internally screaming: "What the hell have I done with my life??!"
