I'm glad they finally had the pay off but did they over do it? Really long gruelling match with HHH (he got beat down after too, didn't he? I missed the match aftermath), kicking out of everyone's finishers, getting off of a stretcher, taking out the authority on the outside, winning with a tap out, all with an existing injury. Did they have to do that much just to create suspense, or did they want to erase all doubt that Bryan was now "the guy". Look at Bret at WMX. He lost to Owen and got some help against Yokozuna. If Cena did what Bryan just did, we'd be disgusted.
I thought they over did it a bit, but I would really only change all the finisher kick outs. That's a "power" you give a guy that's not that great at wrestling to build him up. But Bryan is a great wrestler. I would've preferred it if his opponents were unable to apply their finishers because he outwrestles them. Maybe it's more the fact that I'm bothered by so many finisher kick outs at Mania lately.

I kinda wish that the HHH match was 18 seconds rather than an "epic battle".

Like you said, it was no worse than anything Cena has ever done. If Cena can do it a million times, Bryan can become Superman once at Wrestle freakin' Mania.

Since he's likely to be beaten to a pulp tonight & likely to be booked as an underdog champion, I think last night was fine.

The 10 minutes of confetti was excessive.
At one point the screen was completely blurred.

To me that was 8 months of wrap up in 4 hours and it worked. Outside the obvious of winning the title and beating Hunter you had:
Getting off the stretcher = overcoming all the show closing beatdowns and sneak attacks Tapping Batista out = Proving the office wrong Taking down the Authority in the 3 Way = Overcoming all the screwjobs he'd been hit with
To me it all worked and was exactly what I wanted to see.

My only complaint was Brie didn't celebrate with him.

A little bit, but it's what people wanted to see.

It needs to not become a pattern. However, every bit of it was necessary to make the crowd actually doubt the outcome - you could tell that there was a distinct feeling of dread at anything that looked like an easy out to prevent a Bryan victory, and that the match was utterly lifeless until those things happened.

I'm glad they finally had the pay off but did they over do it? This, ladies and gentlemen, is the goddamn bumper sticker for the IWC.

I'm just a smark talking to other smarks about booking decisions. I wanted Bryan to beat HHH and win the title and that's what he did. I marked but how they did it was a little excessive, imo and I'm simply wondering if anyone felt the same way. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade.
