Dixie Carter is sponsoring illegal dogfighting rings? I guess she had to find some way to make back all that money spent on the ill-fated Impact road tapings. You've been exposed, changeling. A true Miz fan would know that the Dixie Dogfight was the match that the Miz lost to Daniel Puder to lose Tough Enough. Apologize for misleading these FANS. Apologize! Daniel Puder. Was he the guy who attempted to kill Kurt Angle IN THIS VERY RING(!)?

Looks like Joey Mercury was wrong after all; CM Punk CAN change things from his couch in Chicago!

So I'm confused at the hostility in this thread...do people think I'm passive aggressively hating on Punk by calling him Phil Brooks: Walking Dead Enthusiast? Do they not get the reference?
I ain't hating on CM Punk, you can unbunch your panties, guys. False alarm.

I'm happy he's gone. He gets to go to Blackhawks games. Watch his favorite shows the day they air. Go out and bicycle around the busy streets of Chicago once the weather warms up. Laugh at AJ on Thursdays when she has to travel while he gets to sit on his couch and post on these forums under the alias of Perd in his Skeletor underwear. Check out Colt Cabana's one-man theater show "Scott's Semitic Supper" and jeer him as he tries to do an impression of his mother complaining about how undercooked the kreplachs are.
His departure opened up a spot for someone who wants to be there, and when his mind and body feels good, he can return rejuvenated instead of how we was after his feud with Ryback in 2012. And if he doesn't ever come back, then that's cool too. He's made his money. He can enjoy the next phase of his life not having to worry about getting injured on the job. There's a lot of great stuff going on without him. Wrestling will always be a revolving door where talent comes and goes. He was a tremendous talent that I enjoyed, but I was a fan of wrestling before he got there and I still will when he's just another footnote in the history of the show.

I like Punk but you're not wrong about his leaving triggering all those events. It's been the biggest catalyst for change since WCW started winning the MNW. In all seriousness, I think it was a combo of him leaving and the crowd totally turning on Batista. Not only was a match totally scrapped, but their main event (and therefore the Network and WM buys) was sinking fast. They had to do something, and Triple H demonstrated his adaptive booking style by making Bryan the focus (much like he turned him on the Wyatts when it became obvious it wasn't going to work). For sure. If the crowd didn't vehemently shit on Batista at RR, they would've proceeded as planned. Orton vs Batista (probably with HHH involved) and Sheamus/Bryan.

Yeah, Punk backing out sure didn't hurt, but if Bats got cheered, Bryan would be sitting about with no titles.

CM Punk leaving WWE was the deal he made with HHH.
"Alright Punk! Leave WWE tomorrow, FOREVER and never speak of this place again and I'll actually push someone other than Orton/Cena and guys from the Attitude Era."

How ironic - to initiate the change Punk strived to achieve for years, it was HE who had to leave.

I really hated to see him go, but I genuinely am glad that his leaving caused WWE to go into panic mode and listen to the fans.

It's kind of poetic that for the things Punk always wanted to see happen to actually happen... Punk had to leave. I truly wonder if he is happy to see it, jealous it's not him leading the way, or truly not even paying attention?
