The most common birth name for former WWE champions is Robert. Bob Backlund, Sgt. Slaughter and RVD have Robert as a first name. The name Michael is also the most common name for WWE champions, Shawn Michaels, The Miz and Mankind (although HBK likes to use his middle name and Mankind goes by Mick). The real first names of WWE champions are. Herman- Buddy Rogers Bruno- Bruno Sammartino Oreal- Ivan Koloff Pedro- Pedro Morales George- Stan Stasiak Eldrige- Billy Graham Robert (3)- Bob Backlund, Sgt. Slaughter, Rob Van Damn Hossein- Iron Sheik Terry- Hulk Hogan Andre- Andre the Giant Randy- Randy Savage James- Ultimate Warrior Mark- The Undertaker Richard- Ric Flair Bret- Bret Hart Rodney- Yokozuna Kevin- Diesel Michael (3)- Shawn Michaels, The Miz, Mankind Sidney- Sid Steven- Steve Austin Glen- Kane Dwayne- The Rock Paul (2)- Triple H, Big Show Vince- Vince McMahon Kurt- Kurt Angle Chris-Chris Jericho Brock- Brock Lesnar Eduardo- Eddie Guerrero John (2)- JBL, John Cena Adam- Edge Randle- Randy Orton (Wikipedia claims that Randy Savage’s birth first name was Randy) Jeffery- Jeff Hardy Dave- Batista Stephen- Sheamus Phillip- CM Punk Oscar- Rey Mysterio Jose- Alberto Del Rio Bryan- Daniel Bryan I found this information on Wikipedia, I am sorry if I received wrong information on the former champions’ real first names. You forgot Bob Holly... He was never WWE champion, neither was Benoit

Vince McMahon was the first person to take the ride from the Arrowhead Pond on the wire in 1996 before Shawn Michaels.

Shawn Michaels has lost only one of his various WWE championships without shenanigans. 1st IC - Lost to (coward) Marty Janetty due to Mr. Perfect involvment. 2nd IC - Stripped due to suspension/failure to defend within 30 days. 3rd IC - Forfeit to Dean Douglas due to marine beating. 1st Tag with Diesel - Vacated due to splitting. 2nd Tag with Diesel - Stripped due to pin on non-participant in match. 3rd Tag with Steve Austin - Vacated due to injury. 4th Tag with John Cena - Lost in Tag Team Battle Royal. Shawn eliminated Cena for the loss. 5th Tag with HHH - Misscommunication/distraction with/by HHH. Euro - Joke match with HHH 1st WWF Title - Clobbered in the back with TV-camera by Sid. (It was Sweatsock Lothario's fault!) 2nd WWF Title - Lost his Smile. 3rd WWF Title - Mike Tyson made a fast count. World Heavyweight Title - Lost in Three Stages of Hell against HHH. This is the only clean loss, and it's against HHH. Go figure.

Assuming the WWE title match goes on last at Wrestlemania 31, Brock will become the only wrestler to ever go over a decade between Mania main events.

Gangrel, Mideon and Viscera were the only wrestlers of the Ministry of Darkness not to win a world title. Combined, all the other members of the Ministry had twenty-four world title reigns.
Evolution is the only stable I could find that all members had won a world title, although all Flair's world title reigns were before Evolution formed. Team ECK was the nearest, if you don't count Rhyno.

But yeah, Shawn's pretty ridiculous with this stuff. The first tag being vacated was the most annoying. It made some sense I guess, but that is literally the only tag title that got vacated like that in WWF history. They could have at least had a match where Shawn refused to tag with Diesel than Diesel lose in a handicap match or something. Even have Shawn do a run-in to cost him it so Diesel looks stronger and to put more heat on that rivalry.

Nash never had a Mania match post Taker either.
Also, Bossman competed in the next Mania's opener.

Has Albert had a wrestlemania match since 2003? Nope, from what I found on cagematch anyway. So that would make it 9 technically for now, right?

According to cagematch he only wrestled on house shows in 2014. Here is a list of his 2014 matches: www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=580&page=20Nash never had a Mania match post Taker either. Also, Bossman competed in the next Mania's opener. You know, I was thinking Nash wrestled at Wrestlemania 18. OK, so who are the nine? Unless I missed something they are: Jimmy Snuka Giant Gonzalez King Kong Bundy Sycho Sid The Big Boss Man Albert Shawn Michaels Brock Lesnar Actually scratch my previous post. That's 8. Although if for some weird reason Taker/Wyatt happens and Lesnar doesn't wrestle then it would be 9

HBK tagged himself in and immediately got pinned. Can't forget his first (phantom) tag title reign, either, as they had to return the belts to the Hart Foundation and WWF pretended the whole thing never happened.
