Was he considered part-time? I mean, he only showed up for six months, but wasn't that pretty much a full-time slate? (and supposed to be longer, except Guardians of the Galaxy became uber popular) I think they classed him as part time just because he could leave to do movies and stuff, like Van Dam.

I think our definition of "obscure" is getting a bit...obscured.

15 of the 16 MitB ladder matches have featured at least one person to have never competed in one of the previous matches.

Similar to the Meng/Barbarian thing, Rockin Robin continued to defend the WWF Womens Championship on the indie scene following leaving the WWF in 1989, she actually defending it against Madusa on an indy show in 1991 that ended in draw, ironically Madusa would go on to become the next champion two years later.

The Doctor of Style, Slick didn't actively participate in many matches, but one of the few he was part of had him facing off against...Bruiser Brody.
It was a tag match in 1988 Central States territory, with Slick teaming with his guy Bulldog Brown against Brody and a little person.

The USWA world title, in the 9 years the company existed, changed hands 65 times. How many of those were single digit day reigns bouncing the title off of and back onto Jerry Lawler?

Big Show costars in a film with '90s Global wrestler Rasta the Voodoo Man - Knuckleheads
Speaking of Big Show, the person responsible for getting him into WCW? Danny Bonaduce.
Speaking of Bonaduce, the former Partridge Family star and all-around terror had a dark match at WCW's Spring Stampede '94 PPV, where he defeated former Brady Bunch member Christopher Knight (Peter Brady). No footage is known to exist.
After his stint on Hogan's Celebrity Wrestling show, Todd Bridges attempted a career in the indies.
Screech/Dustin Diamond has made attempts at indie wrestling, and once teamed up with Blue Meanie against Gangrel and Luna.

How many of those were single digit day reigns bouncing the title off of and back onto Jerry Lawler? Lawler was USWA champion 28 times according to wikipedia, so quite a few, I guess. One of his title losses...the interview he gave afterwards made me a Lawler fan for life. He lost the title to Ahmed Johnston. After the match, he said that his mind wasn't on the match because "Before the match, I heard Art Model was moving the Browns to Baltimore."
