This would be the last tv Show that Jim Henson created and saw before his death. It debuted April 14th, 1989 aka 25 years ago.
RIP Jim Henson aka D-Bry with puppets.

The behind the scenes one was great. Explained MOST of the bicycle scene (just not when Kermit and Piggy were doing circles around each other)

Explained MOST of the bicycle scene (just not when Kermit and Piggy were doing circles around each other) Recently found my old VHS of that and converted it to DVD. After not having seen it for 20 years, it's crazy how much I remembered it burned into the back of my mind. Also, I love that dog puppet who was the intern. Wish she appeared in more things.

Dog City is a goddamned institution in my extended family. The VHS copy of that was passed around from family to family, until it wore out. My brother gave everyone a copy of it on DVD one year for Christmas. It was a banner year at the Yak Family Christmas. The only downside is that the DVD didn't include the Jim Henson hour frame for the show, including the hilarious bit where a a cat is a stunt dog. For whatever reason a full box set of the Jim Henson Hour hasn't been released.
GO WATCH DOG CITY. IT IS AN HOUR OF DOG PUNS. NOW.

YAKMAN is ICHIBAN I think the reason that The Jim Henson Hour stuff hasn't been put on DVD is a split ownership thing: the Muppets parts owned by Disney, the rest by Henson studios. I could be wrong on that though.
