Tommy Boy surprisingly has some really touching and dramatic moments relating to Tommy and his father, as well as the fate of the factory. Big Daddy as well, the first half of the film is all wacky stuff with Adam Sandler being a bad father, then the second half of the film kicks in.

Kingpin has a scene in the middle where Roy and Claudia return to Roy's hometown that was surprisingly moving.
Several of Chaplin's biggest films, including The Great Dictator and City Lights, end on very moving dramatic moments.

Shaun of the Dead caught me off guard for how serious of a horror film it was towards the end. I was expecting to see some dramatic/sad moments in The Worlds End but I didn't expect to be hit so f***ing hard in the feels. The World's End is film that really spoke to me. As crazy as it was, it had so many emotional moments that blared out messages of individualism and moving on.

I just wish I'd seen the undoctored footage of it because it's circulating on YouTube with a bunch of miscellaneous 'serious' 'news' 'clips' in front of it.

I always had a bit of affection for the characters in "A Mighty Wind," particularly Mitch and Mickey. They are rather silly characters that you end up really rooting for in the end.
