The thread on inconsistencies with Cena's character would lose it's shit over this. It'd be an underwhelming way to turn him heel, when Cena turns heel it needs to be THE storyline within the WWE at the time, it happening to be part of a bigger story would just end up swallowing that story whole.

I'm firmly against a Cena heel turn. But if Cena ever does turn heel it shouldn't be to be a 2nd banana to HHH.
Also a hypothetical 4th member of Evolution should be a younger talent who can be molded in the image of the group

Only if he immediately boots Trips out of the group and takes over as leader. Possibly adding Shelton or Brock to the mix down the line.
OVW forever!

Only way it would work is if he pulled a Hogan/NWO and actually became the undisputed leader. Cena should not be playing lackey to Triple H.

If he joined the Authority would he get new suit-pant like jorts? Maybe wrestle with a tie on like Yogi Bear? Carry a briefcase with a spinning WWE corporate logo on it?

I will not be satisfied with a Cena heel turn unless he wears suit pant shorts and a tie with no shirt. That is hilarious and perfect. Dead serious, that is the best idea for what Cena would wear as a heel I have heard.

Exactly. He shouldn't turn heel as just another guy in a rehashed stable (much as I love that angle). Cena turning heel should be the biggest story in the company for YEARS.

I feel like people enjoy booing Cena, but I think they would enjoy is less if he actually turned on the crowd. Only rapper Cena could go over as heel, now he's just play 80s mid-south heel. I think it's more enjoyable when people just crap all over his attempted face run.

The second Cena turned heel, he would start getting face reactions, because the crowd is one giant, 10,000 headed, contrary Mary asshole.

He's already stale and unbearable as a face, just turn it up times a million, and make him out to be an even bigger asshole. Cena can play a great douchebag as evident on the next night of Raw after defeating Burials at Wrestlemania.

I think Cena is so long overdue for a heel turn that people would be cheering like mad if he turns heel. Especially now when everyone has pretty much accepted Cena is going to stay babyface forever.

I think he's in the perfect sweet spot right now. He's like a big buffet of booking, he's got a little bit of everything and when you get too much Cena you feel like you need to barf.

He's more like an apple. Just one of him a day is always beneficial to your health. Actually, no- I'd say Cena's more like oxygen. When he's not on the show you can't breathe properly because of too much SRS.

Cena right now is almost fresh- he's away from the title and wrestling up and comers, where he should be. But he should turn heel at some point, it's too much of a perfect opportunity to waste. My personal idea was to turn him heel by cheating to break Taker's streak, but we're a little late on that one. But as someone said, a Cena heel turn shouldn't be a random plot twist of a storyline, it should be THE angle in the WWE.
By the way, I recall I was on another forum many years ago, like 2009, and one of the mods said he talked to Cena, and Cena had an idea for a heel turn, which he called a "mix between Mr. Backlund and Hollywood Rock." Now that sounds awesome. I don't know if we will ever see that, or if that story's true, but if I ever see that on WWE TV, I'll definitely be glued to my seat.

Hey thats what what made Lesnar's win more shocking, everybody expected Taker to win as usual. People expect Cena to be a face forever so his turn (if done right) would be so shocking.
