I find it weird, from a character standpoint, that Cena isn't more concerned with The Authority/Evolution. Seems like something that would piss him off normally.
Don't get me wrong, I am very much enjoying the Wyatt program and having him out of the main event.
Strictly from a kayfabe POV, it is weird for him to just be like, eh, I'll let someone else handle this.

Cena's personality would allow him an "I've seen this all before" outlook on things, and as he's really not the glory-hog he's portrayed as, he wants the other guys to have their moment to shine taking them down. He would hang back and wait until/unless he was needed.

Maybe he just figures he had to deal with it ten years ago. Someone else can have a go.

Because no one wants Cena to be the conquering hero that takes down the Authority. That's why he barely acknowledged them even when he was feuding with Orton for the title.

He's just waiting until they're in terminal decline so he can be the hero at the end, just like he did with Big Johnny.

If I was dealing single handedly with a crazed cult leader and two seven foot tall psychopaths I wouldn't be too worried about management issues.

I think it makes sense because while is is not "corporate" he is the ultimate company man, so there is no reason why he would have any problem with the authority and vice versa.

The Authority got John Cena on my TV during every commercial break on CN: he's in ads for Slam City, Rumblers, that Lego-like build a ring thing, Fruity Pebbles.
John Cena keeping his nose out of Triple H's issues is what's best for business.

Cena is putting Bray over as this monster threat and so right now, Cena has his own problems, and if the Authority isn't after him, for once he's just looking out for himself.

Cena has never been a paragon of virtue. He's pretty much only out for #1 in a lot of situations. He's still the Dr. of Thuganomics on the inside. But going further from that, he also knows when to step in and when not to. So far, it looks like D-bry has things handled.
If you wish, think of it like Superman and Batman. Does Superman show up every time the Joker threatens Gotham?

I wouldn't be surprised if this was his own decision backstage. Contrary to popular belief, Cena does want other guys to shine sometimes too.

The Authority is corrupt and rotten. Anyone who prided themselves on morality wouldn't want to work for an evil regime. It'd be like Cpt. America working for Hydra, and being ok with that.

The last few years he has been more about the celebrity matches with the Rock and being this kind of stop gap between mid card and upper card status in the WWE than actually being a part of the main story lines. He disappeared from the Authority story line and left Bryan to his own devices much in the same way he disappeared from the Diesel, HHH and CM Punk thing almost laughably angry at Del Rio for cashing in on Punk like that was some cardinal sin (that's the second Mexican he took the belt from in just two months). I absolutely hate what his role is now because it's as if being an upper echelon talent in the WWE doesn't happen unless he gives you his seal of approval. He did it once with CM Punk, then with the Shield, then Daniel Bryan, and now Bray Wyatt. I'll be glad when John Cena becomes another guy on the roster and isn't given such a responsibility. If memory serves, Jericho and Edge were a lot kinder to the talent they wanted to put over by giving them exposure, even Batista put Bryan over during that beat the clock challenge years ago.
