I think it could work if they did an actual real split again where the wrestlers stay exclusively on one show & don't keep switching back & forth constantly which ruins the purpose of the split entirely. It would definitely help some guys out who are lost in the shuffle, but the only downside to it is obviously being limited to only wrestling guys on their own show.

I'd rather see them drop Smackdown and replace it with NXT.

No way, the roster is really clicking as a whole right now. Roster split shenanigans would cut into too many guys' pushes.

I would like a pure brand split again but that totally depends on the bookers giving a sh** about the undercard of the split shows. Which seems unlikely.

No, because then we will have the return of "should they end the brand split" threads every week

I never liked the brand split besides the only people they're not using now are people they never use anyways.
Least now we are guaranteed that Daniel Bryan is the top guy and not just the top guy of Smackdown with Cena as RAW's top guy.

Please, no. I HATED the brand split. I felt I was seeing the same cards over and over and over again.

f*** no. I always hated it and think it robbed us of a ton of potential great matches. If there never a roster split I'm sure we would have had things like HBK/Guerrero, Punk/Michaels and the like at least as throwaway matches with no build. Sure, it would be nice if those kind of matches had build-ups and proper feuds, but as it stands they never even happened and never will. Also, matches like Jericho/Taker, which eventually did happen probably would have happened much earlier and more often.

The only thing I liked about the brand split was the draft.

Yes. I think WWE was very strong when they kept RAW and SD strictly apart and made both the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship titles appear on equal ground. The roster is simply too large and has too much depth to not have a split.

Which guys aren't they using now that would get shine during a new brand split? Because Barrett and Ziggler were around for the old split and didn't get much development...sure, it was around the time the split started to fade out but still.

The brand split sucked. I don't think I was ever in favor of it since returning as a WWE fan in 2007.
If anything, they should get rid of Smackdown, with RAW being 3 hours, and all the extra cool new stuff from the WWE Network, Smackdown seems dated, and makes the WWE more saturated than ever before. Wasn't it only created to compete against WCW Thunder?
At least NXT/Superstars/Main Event are niche shows and have a unique purpose.

Because Barrett and Ziggler were around for the old split and didn't get much development...sure, it was around the time the split started to fade out but still. Barrett would benefit from it now since this is possibly the most popular he's been since he was in the Nexus. And being able to be a top guy on one of the shows would help him out a lot. Ziggler would potentially be a top star on Smackdown with a roster split. I think Big E. would benefit from it as well since he's been lost in the shuffle for awhile now. They are trying to make the IC title important again, but I'm still expecting Cesaro to win the tournament & to take the belt from him at Extreme Rules. Sheamus has been lost in the shuffle since coming back, so he could potentially be a top heel on Smackdown. Maybe Kofi Kingston would be able to shine in the roster split as well. He's been saying he's like to turn heel from recent interviews he's done, so a roster split could definitely help him out & could possibly show a side of him that we never seen. It would help Cody Rhodes get more air time as well.

It can be a cool thing if they do it right and not have it one sided as hell like they did before the split. However I could see people back in the day not wanting to go to a show because it was the side of the roster split that they did not like. Honestly I could go either way with it as long as it's an even roster like in the early draft days.

I'd rather a soft split where RAW is centered on main event storylines and SmackDown is used as a platform for the mid/lower card guys to shine, like a larger scale NXT Redemption. Also upper tier guys like Cena and Sheamus (making advertised "special appearances") can be free to do their "comedy" on SD where it isn't so grating because it's a more relaxed show.

A roster split does nobody any favors, every wrestler should have as much of the talent pool to work with as possible or the product gets stale.
The only way I would accept a brand split was if there was something really distinct about each show, like if one would be rated TV-14 instead of PG or if one was produced with no scripted promos, or if one show enforced different rules in the matches than the other. Something to really set them apart and give them a different feel rather than just different quality grades of the same product.

Hate hate hate the brand split. I'm so glad that it's over and the titles are unified. At one time it felt necessary, but it obviously spreads things too thin creatively, and with Raw being 3 hours they need all hands on deck.

No, it only worked in 2002 because they had essentially 2 companies worth of a roster after the WCW merge.
