Three-stars trunks with robe Macho Man = Awesome Electric Cowboy Mach Man = Not as awesome. I thought some of the colour combination looked as if a giant paintbomb exploded in the suit store.

ITT we find out which posters weren't alive in the '80s. Young whippersnappers think they invented skinny jeans and gaudy t shirts. RUN DMC was rocking the nuthugging jeans and big rimmed glasses before was ironic.

And some of the dumbest looks came from the late 90's/early 2000's with the trash bag pants and velor ring gear.

People...don't like...Macho Man's look? Hujubuwaaah? Savage made that awesome. He's the only one that could.

Glad or whoever was making trash bags at that point in history could have made a killing just from the indie wrestler market if they decided to employ a few tailors. That's why I hated watching indy wrestling from the early 2000's. Almost everyone was 5'4, 150 lbs, and wore trash bag pants and a black t shirt.

Not sure what Vince was going for by dressing these dudes up like Crazy Taxi's but he missed badly.

What was Kwee Wee's gimmick? Flamboyant baby bird?

Moreso that the latter was a letdown compared to the former. Even the Apter mags called Savage out on the electric cowboy look. I now understand why he covered up so much, but still.

What was Kwee Wee's gimmick? Flamboyant baby bird? Mango from SNL or balding gay stereotype. Either one.

Not sure what Vince was going for by dressing these dudes up like Crazy Taxi's but he missed badly. He was going for the late 80's random as checkerboards on bright colors look that was the rage. And since MC Hammer was still popular at the time, the parachute pants got added.

Shawn Michaels stripper look when he was the WWF Champion. Put on your location. I wanna fight. As an arrogant midcard heel, it wasn't a bad look. As the focus of the entire company to make you believe he can take on all comers? Not so much.

There was nothing wrong with any wrestling gear in the 80's -_- That's my take on it, but my perception of "cool" is along the lines of Jesse Ventura, Savage, and the Freebirds, so I think I'm coming from a different place than people who weren't watching then.

Just imagine an airline losing your gear and then having to go up to Haku of all people to borrow some gear. That would be an interesting conversation, and perhaps a nerve wracking one as well.
