Good find on the site...wow Hogans last WWF match up until his post WCW collapse comeback was in August of 1993, almost a full two months after KOTR. And according to that site, they promoted the release of Mr. Nanny on the 3rd October episode of All American Wrestling. I wonder if that's because they were expecting Hogan to return/contractual obligations/WWE received a cut of the box office so wanted it to turn a profit.

I consider 1993 to be Hulk Hogan's worst year in the WWF. Yeah, it felt really weird. I especially never bought Jimmy Hart as a face. Not only that, but managing the face? Jimmy Hart always annoyed me...I could buy him as a heel but as a face he was insufferable with that megaphone and the constant "C'MON C'MON BABY C'MON HULK YOU GOT THIS BABY C'MON HULK" infernal din at ringside. But hey, Hulk got him the paydays. It was sure nice being in that entourage.

Yeah turning Jimmy Hart face was really bad, same with Slick as well around the same time. But I guess those guys were all reaching their shelf life at that point and needed the change.
1993 Hogan was so pointless, I dont know why they bothered. He didnt do anything post WM 9 on TV.

It would have been easier to buy Jimmy as a face if he would have mostly used the megaphone to work the crowd instead of cheering on Hulk. It made Hulk seem very heelish instead of making Jimmy face. "C'mon Maniacs! Let's hear it, baby! You hear that, DiBiase? You can't buy that, baby!" - I could easily see that as a face, but he kind of just did the same schtick.

He didnt do anything post WM 9 on TV. 1993 Hulk was a desperation ploy. For a few months it worked...fans were genuinely stoked over his return and business ticked up...and the usual Hogan lackeys got their rub (Hart, Beefcake) But too much had changed at that point. Also, Hogan just didn't look like his true Hulkish self. Going off the roids really slimmed him down and he just didn't look quite as menacing anymore. He was indeed out of place
