I had heard about this in passing, but holy cow, that video.....
It was great to see it on the front page of reddit.
Sometimes you can feel so powerless against the big evils of our world like cancer, but you have to try to remember what a difference you can make individual people.

my son is 6 years old & also a huge DB fan...that video is both one of the greatest & saddest things I've ever seen. Such a sad thing, but at least the little guy got to meet his hero & share in his Moment with him.
And Trips doing the job? Tremendous.
Damnit, it's getting dusty in here again...

That video is the first thing to actually make me cry since my grandfather died 5 years ago. Just heart-wrenchingly sad.

Beautiful story, beautiful old soul. As sad as this is, I believe situations like this exist to teach us to feel. Feelings, wheather they are feelings of sadness or happiness; could maybe even be both, is what the human experience is all about.
Connor you did something many will never, ever be able to do. You lived in the moment.
You will always be loved and remembered "Stone Crusher".

Awww man, I just watched the video for the first time. No doubt looking forward to Wrestlemania extended his little time he had left. You're much stronger than all of us, Connor.

As much as we hate and find reasons to hate on WWE, and the Bookers, and how some talent is undeservedly pushed over others. It's Moments like this, that show you that, they can do a lot of good. Much Respect to the E for giving this kid everything he could have asked for before his time ran out. R.I.P.
Connor the Crusher for WWE Hall of Fame 2015.

It's hard to dislike Steph, HHH, and Batista after that. They may be of dubious character when it comes to their working lives, but when it counts they're definitely first class people.

It's a top trend on facebook right now!!!! Brilliant! People seem to be sharing the love of this story it seems, and it truly shows the industry to be a lot more respectable/nice light than it is perceived by the general population (the "lol it's just fake and full of hillbillies who are the worst kind of human beings" people) most of the time.

That is, at the same time, both the nicest and saddest video I've seen in a long time. No one should die that young, but least Connor got to have the best time possible while he still had the chance. In some of his final days, he got to live out his dreams and have an amazing time. If any of us are even a fraction as happy as Connor was as our lives wind down, we'll be very lucky. Considering my dad has a limited time due to cancer, it makes me reflect on my need to make the time he has enjoyable.
On a funnier note, when Triple H tweeted that video, the first reply was "follow me back."

There are a few athletes in sports that, while I can't stand the way they play or interact with other adults, they always do "what's best for business" when it comes to dealing with little kids, and for that, they have my respect.
Hopefully, up in wrestling heaven, Gorilla Monsoon's patting the kid on the back for having the wherewithal to hook the leg.

I finally watched this last night and cried like a little sissy.
Whatever hatred people may have for WWE for some things, I honestly can never hate them, no matter what they do, because of things like this. The kids that get to live their dreams like this in what little time they have left, that's worth us getting pissy over our guy not getting pushed once in a while.
Also, the conversation with Batista was adorable. That's one of the things that makes me think that Batista isn't the whiny little bitch so many people think he is.

I wouldn't draw any conclusions about his interactions with adult coworkers from his interactions with a young child. If you follow hockey, the Caps' Alex Ovechkin is a perfect example of what I mean. Dude's a douchebag on the ice, but the kids all love his skill and I've never seen anything but him treating them with enthusiasm and positivity.

This is true, but most people's behaviour in their professional lives are very different to their personal lives. I have little doubt that Batista isn't quite the braying douchebag we've come to know and love/hate. I'm sure that does make up a fair percentage of his natural character, but we often forget these are real people who we often only see a side of that they present to us for entertainment purposes.
