This has been on Pizza Pats mind for a very long time.
Why is Hollywood shunning the incredibly talented Donald Glover.
First of all he should have been spider man he is absolutely perfect for it he is funny and witty a perfect smart ass plus he isn't exactly a pretty boy like who ever plays spider man now. The people spoke and the people were ignored.
Even know so many roles that he is prefect for Johnny Storm did he get it nope. Cyborg did he get it nope, Donatello nope. The list goes on and on.
Enough is enough Hollywood Pizza Pat has spoken and Pizza Pat demands it cast Donald Glover in a super hero movie.
Why do you guys think Hollywood is ignoring Donald Glover?
I think it's because he is self made and rose to fame on his own talent.
Sure he has some work but he isn't the a list star he deserves to be.
Who do you guys think Donald Glover should play in a super hero movie.
Pizza Pat suggests he should play Nightwing.

He also had his script turned down by various studios there definitely blackballing the guy why who know.

Andrew Garfield is great as Spider-man.
I don't think they're ignoring him, he just hasn't found the right project yet.
He's too young for Nightwing, in my view.

Because he had a large public meltdown on social media and no studio wants to take a risk on a potentially volatile asset who has shown limited appeal in music and television ratings.

Donald Glover is doing fine. He's got a successful music career and a very promising writing/acting career.

Pizza Pat has had a long and arduous journey but Pizza Pat is now back on the internet.
Pizza Pat enjoys Childish Gambinos music but Pizza Pat would like to see Donald Glover the actor shine as well, but like Gambino said Maybe he is just to different.
At 30 Donald Glover is the perfect age for Nightwing. To old for Robin and to young for Batman.
And who has not had some type of breakdown on social media or in front of a camera little tarts like Lindsay Lohan have made a career out of breaking down. The public doesn't care about that they want to see stars crash and burn. A breakdown can be a career booster.

I was like 4 posts into this thread confused as all hell because I kept seeing "Danny" Glover and was wondering why nobody said "because he's too old for this shit!"

I didn't realize he was thirty. Still doesn't seem the right fit for him to me. Granted, I haven't seen a whole lot of the dude's work outside of SOME Community. All in all, wasn't that impressed. He's ok.

He could always play the Miles Morales version of Spider-Man. Hell, I heard the guy is even half the inspiration for the character. Of course it is very unlikely that anything from the "Ultimate" continuity would ever reach the big screen. Especially as a result of Peter Parker's death, but hey I'm just spitballing here. Just because it's been turned down by various studios doesn't necessarily mean he's been blackballed. Lots of screen writers have scripts turned down by various studios. I mean yeah, it's a little weird that a known commodity can't get his script bought. But still, projects being rejected is part of Hollywood. His social media meltdown shouldn't hurt him too much. He's talented enough that any cost-benefit analysis would say he's worth the risk. Since his meltdown to me resembles a lot of depressive status updates I see from some of my friends on facebook (except a little more in depth). |
