Now, I've never been a huge Michael Jackson fan; the dude's got obvious talent, but he's just never really been my cup o' tea.
This, though? This kicks ass! It's a great song by itself, but it's made that much better with how hard Michael goes on the vocals. I've NEVER heard MJ get that gritty, but it kicks ass and if he has any other songs where he gets that into it please post them in this thread.
I will say that I was unimpressed by the hologram, though; his face made him look less like a hologram and more like a video game character on a screen. Tupac's hologram at Coachella wasn't perfect, but it actually looked like he was on the stage which made it that much more impressive.
What say you, FAN? Fan of this song or no?

There was also a slight audio delay in there which caused the performance to lose a little something something.
The song is not bad, though- better than anything on Invincible for the most part.

I thought it was amazing. This "hologram" shit will make a fortune. As the technology improves it will be even better. Incredible. Song is great too. It's mind boggling to think there are probably hundreds of awesome MJ songs that I've never heard.

I loved Michael's energy in it, almost makes me forget it's a hologram.
They lose me in the second verse when the dancers "beside" him are out of position

I disagree. Cry is a fantastic song, one that I have really appreciate more since his death. As to this? I think Michael would have loved it. Just the wow and sizzle factor he loved so much. And the song has a good groove and beat to it. I may have to pick up the album. Been a bit gun shy since sometimes the stuff that comes out after the artist is gone just... well, sometimes there is a reason it is vaulted. We will see.

Yeah, one of the better Michael Jackson tracks I've ever heard. Especially after the second chorus "She danced through the night in fear of her life" or whatever it is. Awesome. What makes it work is what makes all the best Michael Jackson tracks works: The dude's a BELTER. In the good stuff, he's throwing his entire body into singing. In the bad stuff, he's all weak sauce. We'll see where it is in a year or two, but right now it's already top ten for me.

The face was kinda off, but it moved just like the man in his prime. And yes, Cry is badass.

For whatever you may think of Michael Jackson in terms of his personal life, the real sad part about his death is that based on what I saw from "This is it", the guy still had something left in the tank, so to speak. No, he wasn't anywhere near as good as his prime, but he seemed to have far more left in him than anyone could have expected based on what he went through last 25 years of his life.
