So according to Google Tony Atlas was born in 1944 and is 70, but Wikipedia has him born in 1954 and being 60.
I guess either is possible, he debuted in 1974 so he was either 20 or 30, it's hard to tell, I want to say 60 because of the shape he's in but he could just be a freak of nature.

I would lean to him being closer to 60 than 70. He just looks it.
I don't have much evidence or anything...also the fact that breaking into the business as just a raw 20 naive year old african american man in the mid 70's would've likely been very difficult. So maybe that tilts the scales to 70.
Also my granddad used to tell me what happens to your body between 60-70 is in stark contrast to what happens 20-30, 30-40 etc
60-70 is when you become a legit old man and Tony doesnt look it yet. Vince is getting close to 70 and he most definitely looks it.
I remember Hulk Hogan being listed as born in 1954. Now I see 1953
Roddy Piper was listed as being born as early as 1951 (which would make him 63 now) and as late as 1956 (58 now) I see he's listed as being born in 1954 now. Honestly don't know what to believe with that.

Wouldn't be surprised if certain old school guys lied about their age to get ahead.

I could have sworn he was in his mid-30s in World Class, which would have him at around 60 now. Also, I know he's buff and younger-looking and all, but even still, he looks nowhere near 70. Hell, in my opinion, he looks in his late 40s.

Every source including IMDb besides Wikipedia says he was born in 1944, the site that wikipedia sources from is just a random page on the interwebs. I say he is 70.

Every source including IMDb besides Wikipedia says he was born in 1944, the site that wikipedia sources from is just a random page on the interwebs. I say he is 70. Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson won the WWF tag titles in 1983. Rocky can certainly be around 70 now (with the Rock at 42, that puts his father as being 28 at the time of his birth); however, Wikipedia states that he began his wrestling career in the mid-60s, while Atlas debuted in 1974. Rocky would have been 39 at the time he won the tag belts with Atlas; to do so at that age would suggest that Rocky was helping build Atlas at the time, who by the younger age would have only been 29; old enough to have had a resume but young enough to be helped by a veteran with 10 years' experience on him. Since it would have been absolutely unthinkable for Atlas to have debuted at 29 (if he were 70+ now) since even back in the day the wrestling trainers wanted guys who were 18 or 19 to start and would prefer to train younger so that they can get them out in front of the crowd at 18, I think Atlas can't have been born in '44, but in '54.

I have his autobiography around here somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't remember what he said about his age. I'll have to see if I can dig up the book and weigh in with his official statement.
