I was watching some YouTube videos earlier today (procrastinating from doing some actual work) and I came across the moment in TNA last year where AJ Styles turned face again by helping the Main Event Mafia against Ace's & Eight's and I thought to myself that I really wish this had happened in front of a different crowd because I really feel that it was a cool moment and the crowd just weren't that into it. I kinda wish it could have happened in front of, say, the '06 Impact Zone crowd because I feel they would have lost their shit when it happened.
Another one that springs to mind was during the Generico/Steen feud in 2010 they were in Charlotte (I believe) for The Big Bang show and it was a new market for ROH so I'm not really sure they were all that familiar with the product but it featured Generico fighting back against Steen for the first time which obviously marked a huge moment in the feud. But the crowd were pretty dead for it if I remember correctly. I can't help but think if they were in one of their more traditional markets like Chicago or Philly or even NYC (ugh) that it would have gotten a much better reaction and made for a much better moment.
So what other examples are there of moments you guys really enjoyed or thought were really cool but it just didn't get the fan reaction you felt it deserved?

The return of Bret Hart in 2010. I was on a break from WWE at the time so I'd never seen this before but man did Bret deserve a better reaction than that. Hell, when HBK comes out he get a bigger pop than Bret did. Shame really, if they did that in Canada the arena would've exploded.

The last Nitro. It really should have happened in Atlanta in front of WCW loyalists, not in front of a bunch of frat boys, some of whom probably never even heard of pro wrestling.

Just about anything in the last few years that has happened in front of a crowd more concerned with trying to be funny on TV or chanting something in unison than reacting naturally to what was happening in front of them.

The return of Bret Hart in 2010. I wish to god that episode had been in Canada or New York. The roof would have blown off the place.

Wrestlemania X7, specifically Austin's turn. If they'd had it in Miami or something, and actually gotten a heel reaction for Austin it might have given that run the start it deserved.

This, I mean the idea of Austin turning heel in Texas in what was a home coming for him was just stupid. I get the whole shock value behind it but it took months to get Austin heel reaction at all but even in the Alliance days he still was getting cheers. While Austin played the role well he was just entertaining. Honestly before the Alliance times The Rock should been the one that turned.

The night after Money in the Bank '11 was in Green Bay, which is known to have a more quiet crowd. If WWE would have done a double shot in Chicago the next night, the CM Punk chants would have deafened anything that was going on in the ring. Which I still believe what the WWE secretly wanted to happen.

I wish Sunny used the ECW Tammy Lynn Sytch persona when she was in the WWF. The attitude era just started taking off right when she left. She was dressing and acting more raunchy in ECW but she just wasn't Sunny hot.

I wish Macho Man winning the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania IV happened in front of a different crowd. They were just dead all night and even in the climax lacked energy. In fact, I wish Wrestlemania IV and V happened somewhere else because those crowds sucked.

The return of Bret Hart in 2010. It just blew my mind how little of a reaction that got. I expected it to be just about the biggest reaction anyone in WWF/WWE had ever gotten.

The WCW relaunch in 2001.
Weren't they even in Atlanta the next week?
