(Language warning because Cracked): www.cracked.com/blog/5-beloved-restaurants-that-are-seriously-overrated/I've never been a big Adam Tod Brown guy, but I knew In N Out Burger would be on there by just reading the title and seeing White Castle as the first image. I used to live in California and go to In N Out fairly often. Their burgers and fries are good, but by the way Californians talk about them you think it was an instant orgasm served in a paper bag. I'd much rather have a McDonalds, KFC or Popeyes chicken close to me than an In N Out.

I'm a native Californian and never understood the hype about In n Out, which somehow makes me less of a Californian than a tourist or a transplant according to some of the jabronis I've talked to, for whatever reason. It's not bad by any means, but I'm not ever going to go out of my way for it.

Already hated the article and then I see that he included DiGiorno's frozen pizzas. If there is one thing I've learned from DiGiorno's advertisments, it is that they are NOT DELIVERY. You haven't been paying attention to their decades of ads!

In N Out is the shit. The fries aren't bad at all and I love that they're from fresh potatoes. Order well done cheese fries and you'll see what's up. The flavor of the meat patty is the best you can get from any fast food place.
I do second his recomendation of Fat Burger though. That shit is f***ing bomb!

The only burger place I hype to hell and back is Five Guys, and that's cause they really are that damn good.
Get me a bacon double cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, pickles, and red onions, plus a bag of Cajun fries(let's be real I could call it a "cup" but they on purpose fill the bag with the fries). Mmmmmmmmmm.......*drool*
The only downside is they are pretty expensive for a burger place, so I only go sparingly, but it is worth it when I do.

I've only eaten at In N Out once, and it was a long time ago, but I don't remember it being anything special. Around these parts, Braums (assuming you don't get a crappy one) is the best as far as fast food goes.

I think this article was mislabeled. "Shit I don't like" must have been it's working title.
Hating on White Castle is part of it's charm. When I want a greasy piece of shit for cheap that's what I crave.

"Stop Liking Shit I Don't, ALRIGHT?!" is a more accurate title.

This is a f***ing terrible list.
#5 - In N Out is probably the only thing that qualifies as both a restaurant and could be seen as overrated. And I kinda agree. They have pretty damn good burgers, but the fries are really bland. Californians have hyped this place up as the second coming of ground beef and I'd say they're good but not that good.
#4 - White Castle isn't overrated because no one thinks White Castle is any good. It's very much the definition of "quantity over quality." Stoners go there because it's open late at night and you can get 10 of those shitty burgers for mad cheap.
#3 - Pinkberry. I've never even heard of this. Must be a west coast thing. I also don't think of dessert places as restaurants.
#2 - Digiorno. What the f*** is this doing on here? Digiorno is not only terrible but it's a brand of frozen pizza. Unless you consider a supermarket or a convenience store a restaurant this has no business being on here. Is this the best Californians have for real pizza or something?
#1 - Krispy Kreme. Their donuts can be seen as overrated, but again, I don't think of Krispy Kreme as a restaurant. It's a bakery.

Same here....don't get me wrong, the food is good and better than McDonalds, Burger King, Carl's, etc., but Five Guys has them beat hands-down, plus you can get fresh jalapenos on their burgers.

I can't put 5 Guys in the same category as In N Out. In N Out is fast food and 5 Guys is casual fast. As far as anything with a drive through goes, In N Out spanks the competition when it comes to quality and taste.

Man, I just bought chinese food, but there is a Five Guys down the street from me. I've still never been believe it or not, but by the way you hyped it to hell I might just have to go there tomorrow (though I do hate eating out twice in a row since I should lose weight as it is). How much would a double cheese burger with cajun fries cost there? Also are the burgers really thick? I'm not that big on thick burgers so if they aren't a single should be fun by me.

How much would a double cheese burger with cajun fries cost there? Also are the burgers really thick? I'm not that big on thick burgers so if they aren't a single should be fun by me. Firstly, the burgers aren't thick. They're "just right" in terms of thickness. Anyways for the cheeseburger and a "little" cup of fries(which seriously is all a single person needs, cause like I said, they fill the bag too), it would cost you $9.58 without tax and that's without a drink(I never buy a drink there, just get my food and then buy a cheap drink at the gas station nearby). If you wanted bacon on the burger it'd cost an extra $1(but it is damn good crispy bacon, not that floppy shit most places put on their sandwiches). Oddly enough they also have large caches of peanuts you can eat while there. Edit: Actually, here's a really good review of the Five Guys double cheeseburger(and regular fries, which still kick ass, too).

Only one on that list I've heard of is Krispy Kreme.
and I happen to enjoy their Donuts so your whole telling me what I like is overrated can get lost, list.

I definitely like the 'Cajun fries' at Five Guys. I'm quite the fan of their burgers. And their fry servings are gigantic, even for their smaller size.

I love Five Guys. Their "small fries" are enough to feed a family of five. Good burgers, too. And I love how crispy, but still meaty their bacon is.
Though, uh, if you have a peanut allergy don't go there. You will die. Literally.
