And I was just wondering if you guys think it's worth going or not? It's only £20 for a ticket, so it's not a huge amount and I'm a fan of them (Of course, otherwise why would I consider going?), but I'm not too sure, considering that it's not the original line up (Or even the second line up with Graves).
So I ask, have any of you seen them live with the current line up, and was it any good?

I don't have any experience seeing them, but if Jerry Only is still singing...I'd say probably not.

If Jerry is singing HELL NO. I went a couple years ago it was horrible. He sounds like ass.

£20 is probably about 13 quid over what i'd pay if I was absolutely forced to go and watch Jerry only wail his way through songs he didn't write at 300mph with two other guys who don't give a shit along with a selection of stuff off that terrible new LP nobody wants to hear. I don't know if Dez is even with them lately after reading Jerry's son is filling in while he goes off and does anything else wortwhile.
I mean you get to hear Misfits songs in concert, but if you hold out til Halloween there'll be 100 gigs in the immediate area with local bands doing it for much cheaper and about equally legitimate as what's touring as The Misfits now.

I didn't even know about it until today, and that was only because a friend saw a flyer at the train station advertising it and knew I liked 'em. After watching a few videos on YouTube of more recent performances, it's sad to see what they've become.

Actually, since they dropped Robo as drummer and replaced him with Goat, they don't play the songs too fast anymore.
I've seen them 4 times with Only on vocals between 2001 and 2012. Oddly, the first was really good, the 2nd (with Marky Ramone on drums) was pretty good but noticeably worse, and the 3rd (with Robo) was a real let down. After that, I had decided I wouldn't bother unless they changed drummers and released new material.
After that, I saw them on the Devil's Rain tour and had a great time. Goat doesn't play everything like he's coked out of his gourd and Jerry's vocals have improved.
I say go.

I say go. Jerry Only is decent enough on vocals and the songs still hold up.
The person that you really want to be singing is Michael Graves. He was absolutely fantastic live when I saw him. As much as I love Danzig, his live vocals leave a lot to be desired. On that note, his video for On a Wicked night cracks me up due to them not ironing the red sheet they used for the backdrop .

Actually, I kind of prefer Graves era to Danzig era, to be completely honest. But both would be infinitely preferable to Only.

Saw them with Graves and it was OK at best. Only isn't a good singer and needs to just give it up.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Danzig's stuff with Misfits, I just think the Graves-era stuff was better both songwriting-wise and vocally. And like you said, it was definitely more consistent.

Danzig's definitely got a more distinctive voice, but it doesn't lend itself to all of their songs and isn't always good, compared to Graves who just has a good voice. It's especially prevalent in the acoustic stuff he's done IMO:
