This is the new reality for Duke porn star Belle Knox hosting an online porn competition. The freshman co-ed has signed on to host "The Sex Factor," an upcoming X-rated web competition in which contestants compete for porn stardom and a $1 million prize. "Think of American Idol," the program's creator told the Daily News, referring to the competition's voting-based format. "It'll be just like that." The obvious difference between the programs is "full on explicit, advanced porn scenes like group sex," said the creator who wanted to be identified by his first name, John. "It's going to be 100 percent, completely X-rated," he said. The show will be filmed in San Francisco and will air online this fall.
The cast of eight men and eight women will engage in various steamy hookups. Top veteran porn stars Keiran Lee, Tori Black, Lexi Belle and Remy LaCroix will serve as judges and coaches. But ultimately it will be "America's" vote that will decide the winner, selecting one man and one woman for the seven-figure prize and a sex scene with none other than Knox herself. "They're going to have fans. They're going to interact with their fans. It's going to be very different," the creator said of the top contestants' outcome. Lee, an award-winning performer with a claimed $1 million insurance policy on his lower region, said he's especially looking forward to helping other men wanting to get into the sex industry. "I have quite a large fan base as far as guys asking me, 'how do I get into the industry?'" he told the Daily News. "It is quite difficult to get into."
Unfortunately most men just don't have the libido to perform at a moment's notice, he said. "Something like this would be great to give guys experience before a lot of time and money is wasted," he said. Another interest for the British performer is finding a possible male successor. "It's about finding basically someone to take over the reins for myself," he revealed. Perspective applicants who have zero prior sex experience before the lens are asked to tweet a video of themselves to the show's Twitter handle, @thesxfactor. "They don't necessarily have to be sex tapes. You could just submit a really cool video," said John.
