In the last few weeks
-The Spurs won a championship
-LeBron left the Heat
-LeBron and Bosh are both staying out East
-The Lakers have blown most of their cap space on Swaggy P, Jeremy Lin and Jordan Hill
-The Rockets missed out on their biggest off season targets and might lose Chandler Parsons
-Melo also probably still staying out East
-Pau is likely coming to the Spurs
Is this heaven? This is heaven, right?

@wojyahoonba Atlanta making aggressive, late pitch for Pau Gasol, league sources tell Yahoo. $11M-plus a year, sources say. Gasol likely passes on offer.

This just makes me wonder if the HOuston media-sphere is as bad at judging talent worth as the Houston front office is. Howard and Harden were gimmes, but they horribly overpay Lin, and now they're upset that they're not drastically overpaying Chris Bosh. Bosh is good, sure, but he's not going to put them over the top.

I don't think landing Bosh was as critical for Houston as they did, apparently. But they still got rid of those horrid Asik and Lin contracts so it isn't all bad.

Several contenders pursuing Chris "Birdman" Andersen, front office sources tell Yahoo. Heat want to keep him, but suitors coming hard.

Phoenix gets Isiah for exactly what he should be, a bench scorer.

It's a non starter if they won't include Wiggins, and rumors are they won't. Which is music to my ears.

The Bulls are about to sign Pau Gasol. Considering they were in the hunt for Melo, that's a pretty weak trade off (assuming Melo stays in NY of course)

Damn it Thunder.......make some damn moves! We NEED a consistent 2-guard. A 2-guard depth of Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb isn't good enough........

Gasol really shows the main problem with the smaller markets in the league. Getting a big free agent to come is tough, even if you're a contender. Add that to not having a ton of cap space and it'll keep being a problem.

Well the Bulls sign Gasol, they are out of the Melo sweepstakes. Unless they planning to have him replace Noah and trade Noah to the Knicks for Melo, which as a Knick fan I wouldn't complete refect that idea. Looks like unless some team come out of nowhere, Melo like Bosh ain't going nowhere despite all the hype.

Welp, disappointed that the Spurs don't get Gasol but at least he's going out East. Also if Rose can be anywhere near what he was before the injuries, Bulls have to be the favorites in the East now, right?

Damn. Hornets are now being associated with Kirk Hinrich, Lance Stephenson (still), Luol Deng, and DJ Augustin. I would love Kirk as back up to Kemba. Gives me a Jayhawk to root for on the Hornets squad. He can shoot the 3 and can play the D.

He's gonna ask for way too much money and he seems like more trouble than he's worth. I was hoping the Hornets would make a play for Kevin Love before the draft. The #9 and #24 picks plus MKG and some other pieces might have made Minny consider it. Then the Hornets could have gone after Parsons. Love/Parsons/Big Al/Kemba would have been crazy.

And we already have drama with PJ Hairston getting in trouble! I do not want Stephenson. Parsons would have been great. But I would like to see us get Bledsoe and put him at the two. That could be great.
