WHY would he return to Cleveland? Just because someone is from, oh...I don't know, Milwaukee, that probably won't mean that they'll want to go play for such a crappy franchise. Lebron James is a lot of things, but he is most certianly not an idiot. Neither is his PR team. With the ship sinking in Miami, he sees a great PR oppritunity. Go home, and with the right pieces, bring home a title to a city that hasn't seen a pro championship since 1964 (Pre Superbowl NFL title) IF he goes to Cleveland and wins a title there, he gets a great personal "redemption" story after what happened 4 years ago, and is the big hero for ending the drought in Cleveland. That and it's a win-win for Dan Gilbert as well because if he welcomes Lebron back with open arms and then they win a Championship, he gets to redeem himself from that letter. I think what people fail to understand is they didn't hate Lebron for leaving Cleveland, they hate how he did it, and how he behaved afterwards with his arrogance, bold claims of not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, and so forth. If he just said he's going to Miami, played the game and didn't behave the way he did, and just carried himself in a more professional and humble fashion he wouldn't have been vilified. He still would have, just not as badly. Instead of people bashing him for arrogance he'd still have the "He jumped ship to Dwyane Wade's team!" All in all though, I can't say I'm too surprised at this turn of events. It's pretty apparent now that whatever contract Wade signs is going to be his last, and he's not consistent enough to be the go-to Number Two. Bosh was only ever going to stick around if Lebron did. At this point, Miami is going to need to suck it up and build up their roster up again the proper way.

@wojyahoonba Cavs pressed Celtics/Nets officials to complete paperwork on 3-way trade in last hour, needed it done "immediately." Cap space is clear now.

At this point, I think basketball journalists are just horrible as wrestling journalists.

At this point, I think basketball journalists are just horrible as wrestling journalists. Word is that Mario Chalmers has nuclear heatz in the locker room.

All we need is a "Basketballtaint.gov" and the comparison will be complete.

Well accodring to Lebron's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate, LeBron is coming back to Cleveland. So it must be true.

I want LeBron to walk out of his front door with a double bird and announce that he's signing somewhere else so bad. Embrace the hate, LeBron!

Well accodring to Lebron's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate, LeBron is coming back to Cleveland. So it must be true. Will he arrive on an intergalactic Winnebago? Seriously, I get that it'd be cool, and many fans in Cleveland will act like they never had a problem with him leaving, but you know something? I hope he doesn't resign with the Cavs. Yes, I would LOVE the city to finally get a championship in anything, and yes people have left and returned (Rocky Colovito back in the day), but none did it in the "look at me" bullshit fashion he did. I say if it's all about becoming a billionaire, enjoy LA or New York, I'd rather see the city go without winning it all than for the entire city fanbase to look like frauds with the "we always liked you, seriously" routine we are sure to see if this goes down.

The fact that this all happened with little to no coverage just makes sense with this team.

do we actually find out anything today? i doubt we do. If we don't find out tonight, we won't find out until next Monday at the earliest. LeBron James and his camp are too PR-savvy to understand the ramifications of breaking news on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, especially in the summer months. Those ramifications are that nobody's going to give a f***, nobody's around to talk about it, and by the time Monday morning rolls around, the news cycle has cycled itself and something else is a story. However, breaking news on a Thursday guarantees that everyone's going to talk about it Friday, and it'll be all anyone talks about through the weekend. If any news on his announcement is coming, it's coming tonight or in four days.

Also, LeBron's going to be in Brazil for the World Cup finals over the weekend, so it wouldn't really make sense for him to announce his decision live from the capital of Brazil.
