I'd rather NOT get over it only because I want more documentaries featuring old Nitro footage. I miss Nitro.

the only thing I miss is the "what will happen next?" feeling. It's been a while since the "OHMYGOD!" moment and I don't mean someone beign thrown off a Hell in the Cell. I mean something like "What's HE doing on RaW?" Eh, that's kind of what I mean, though...that was cool the first couple times, but we ended up looking forward to stuff like that even more than we looked forward to just seeing a good show.

It brought out a lot of loyalty for me on the WWE's part. Even though I was like, a young 10 year old mark during it's heyday, I was still a huge WWE supporter. I remember I would randomly write lists on who was better, and even during the days of 1996 when WWE was getting killed, I was still extremely supportive and extremely loyal to the WWE.
I think WWE rarely would focus on WCW, and that was something that was always a plus for them. Aside from the things with DX, WCW was rarely mentioned on WWE Tv, even when WCW was on top and beating down upon WWE. It seemed WCW cared a lot what WWE did more then they did their own product. I guess that's why I'm critical of TNA doing it, because when you only have an hour, you need to focus on your show, and you don't have that much time to do so. They are starting to lay off it though, so that's good.
A lot of the changes that were brought were needed. I think the WWE is trying their hardest to slow down the product and has been doing so over the past few years. While some fans may not like it, they went above and beyond during the Monday Night Wars, and they need to head back to where you can take a step back and understand what you just saw, instead of a lot of crazy things thrown on the air at once.

^Brand loyalty = time to consider another hobby.
I never understood how grown adults could exhibit something like "brand loyalty", especially to a wrestling company. Sure, I liked one company better than another back in the day but I had no illusions that they were any different really, fundamentally, or that they somehow cared or needed my support. Vince, Bish -- same thing, just wanting to make the easiest buck they could.
I just don't understand how you can be loyal to something that only wants you for your money, nothing else.

^Brand loyalty = time to consider another hobby. ......I just don't understand how you can be loyal to something that only wants you for your money, nothing else. This is one of the main things that I hated about the "Monday Night War" era. It forced fans into that so called "Brand Loyalty" crap. Back in the 80's, I was a fan of WWF, World Class, NWA JCP, UWF, AWA, GLOW, and any indy promotion in my area. All of these shows were available on television in my area. While people may have preferred one company over another, most of us during this era were simply wrestling fans, and would enjoy elements from every promotion. We didn't care about ratings and buy rates, all we cared about was the action in the ring. True, the "Monday Night War" era helped to create some new stars (Austin, Rock, etc), it also led to the "Brand Loyalty" mentality that still persists in wrestling today. If you were a World Class fan, you wouldn't call someone an idiot for watching "Saturday Night's Main Event". Nowadays, if you're loyal to TNA , EVERY !mpact show is the greatest wrestling show ever, while EVERY Raw sucks (there are good and bad elements in both shows people). I'm sick and tired of people saying that WWE will be out of business within a year just because !mpact's ratings went from 0.9 to 1.0, and should be moved to Monday nights. I'm sick and tired of people saying that Vince should buy TNA or ROH and job out all of their talent. I enjoy WWE (especially SmackDown), ROH (especially Live), and TNA (though not as much as the other two companies). Instead of worrying about how bad a company is doing financially, or a slight drop in ratings, just enjoy the fact that Wrestling is on television four times a week!!! Arn Anderson once said the following statement during a shoot interview about the Monday Night War; "Why go after 50 percent of the Monday night audience, when you can get 100 percent of the Tuesday night audience" SO TRUE!!!

Which is EXACTLY why I don't want to see TNA compete head-to-head with Raw ever.

I think you also have to consider that I have been very much entertained by the WWE for a very long time. Even when people said the WWE sucked back in 1995, I loved it back then. And the same goes for today. I feel that since the WWE entertained me on Monday nights, if someone else comes along, I'm going to stick around with WWE. I've been loyal since I was a kid, so that's not going to change. But also, many people are actually very loyal to the brands a nascar racer will have on their car, where they would only buy certain things that their favourite nascar racer has on their car. It's completely normal. There's nothing wrong with being a little loyal, lol.

i think some people lament over the "monday night wars" because back then wrestling was on tv like every single day (not counting any lucha feds)... sometimes for close to 6 a day. that was awesome.... something on tv to watch .... even if it was wcw.
