Supposed to be kung lao's descendent/cousin. He uses a bow and arrows, and kinda resumes green arrow. ah okay, I see who it is. I didn't know his name.

I have a feeling Shujinko will be the final boss Now that you mention it, Shujinko portrayed as a "defeating/stealing powers of the good guys" villain would've been a lot better than the Onaga arc they went with in Deception. I hated Onaga.

Okay I just read the synopsis for the comic And I really love the idea of this Outworld civil war going , and since he just showed up I really hope Johnny makes it in the game. Ed Boon, on his Twitter, said only 5 of the characters featured (who haven't been revealed, of course) in the video are in. Cassie was a shoo in, as she was already announced months ago. Since they showed in-game footage of Jacqui Briggs (Jax's Niece, I'm not sure where everyone is getting that she is his daughter), Takeda Takahashi ( {Spoiler}Kenshi's son, and with Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion, the sole survivor of Fox's attack on the Shirai Ryu ), and Kung Jin, they are certainly in. Now, that's where speculation begins from the video itself. Who are the 4th and 5th characters. Would it be cheating to assume Mileena is in? She hasn't been announced yet, but she is a HUGE part of the story as {Spoiler}the one who originally took Outworld on the death of Shao Kahn . It would be assumed Erron Black will be announced soon, as he, along with D'Vorah, Ermac, Reptile, and Ferra and Torr make up Kotal Kahn's inner circle. Erron Black is a mercenary who, according to the comic, {Spoiler}acted as an intermediary between Outworld and the Black Dragon, working to kidnap Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs back at the origins of the comics, outside of the orders of Kotal Kahn. . Beyond that, I'm not sure. I'm still holding out hope that Kenshi is in, but seeing nothing in game for an updated costume, I doubt he's in (which makes me sad, he and Jade were my primaries for MK9) Further thought. They estabalished that DLC characters are going to be separate from the story mode, so characters who have died, either in story or comics, can still be brought back. {Spoiler}By all intents and purposes, Goro and Rain are dead, as Kotal Kahn killed Rain and ripped the arms off of Goro, leaving him to die in the desert.

It was also revealed that Goro will be returned to the city of Kuatan to be imprisoned, so he's also alive, although I have no idea how he's gonna play any major role.

But what I meant by the DLC line was that Ed Boon stated that the characters who were DLC were outside the story mode, and were unaffected by the story elements, and that they could easily add many more characters from MK Past into the game for fan service. However, the Kombat Pass states there will only be 4 DLC characters, not including Goro. (at least related to said pass) and 15 costumes. This could be why Goro has his arms (unless the comic gives justification).

I have a feeling Shujinko will be the final boss Oh God no. I mean, the plot revolves around the kamidogu again so it would make sense for him to make an appearence, but unless they REALLY manage to somehow improve him to the point of making his arc worthwhile, I would rather have him just be written entirely out of the Mortal Kombat universe and his stupid story retconned. What a f'n pointless waste of a character. Has no personality, looks bland as f***, follows a blatantly evil being without question, ages supernaturally fast for no reason other than the developers wanted to give a "wise old man" character except it doesn't work when he isn't wise and is only old because of a f'n stupid plot device, doesn't even have his own freaking moves and to top it all off he is directly responsible for releasing the biggest danger to the realms in Mortal Kombat history. Great main characters, guys! By all intents and purposes, Goro and Rain are dead, as Kotal Kahn killed Rain and ripped the arms off of Goro, leaving him to die in the desert. I'm not convinced Goro is dead. We don't actually see him die and by now, we should all know that having your arms ripped off isn't that big an issue in the Mortal Kombat universe. Right, Jax? Hell, Baraka apparently survived being sliced in two (and his scar healed).
Plus, the fact that the slogan for the Goro DLC clip is "GORO LIVES" seems to indicate that yeah, he's not actually dead and will probably be back with a vengeance.

I actually enjoyed Shujinko , I do have to agree turning him into a old man was bad , idk I feel they could make it work this time around , maybe they'll have Onaga take over he's body like reptiles , than again who knows

They could have handled it a lot better since two of the periods were Shujinko getting stuck in magical jelly and then him getting locked in a prison for decades and Onaga not even bothering to look in on that or make any moves whatsoever.
