If there's one thing I've kind of taken solace in, it's that Judd Apatow, James Fraco, Seth Rogan, and Jason Segal have gone on to be pretty big stars and Linda Cardellini and Busy Philipps have also been pretty successful. The show has continued to find an audience and be well-regarded. I think this all makes NBC look really bad.

The last two episodes kinda soured me on this show. Sam finally gets his dream girl and dumps her cause all she wants to do is make out with him? She also wanted him to fight Todd, because Todd made a comment about the cheerleaders, and he specifically said he wasn't talking about Cindy. When he gave her a family heirloom, she was more concerned with how much it cost, and didn't want to wear it. She didn't want to do anything Sam wanted to do, and was pissed as watching The Jerk. She got mad when he wore a turtleneck covering up a hickey. She and Sam had absolutely nothing in common. Cindy was Sam's dream girl, but when he finally got her, he realized it was a nightmare. I go back to a comment I made earlier about Vicki being more likeable. I thought that was a great job by the writers. When the show started, Cindy was the nice pretty cheerleader, and Vicki was the pretty bitchy bossy cheerleader, but by the end of the show, Vicki actually had nice moments, and Cindy was the bitch. Vicki was the one that had no problem talking to Eli, she went to see how Bill was doing after he went into a coma, and after being told off by Bill in the closet, she and him had a nice conversation where she mentioned that Bill has to have a good life, because he's always smiling or laughing, and she made out with him. Seemed really rushed how she turned heel after Sam reaching his lifelong dream in the span of one episode. I dunno if they knew they were being cancelled so went a different direction or what. That said the guy playing Sam was the most cringeworthy actor I've ever seen. I just wanted to punch the TV every time I saw his cheesey smile and goofy voice. Good show for the freak crew tho.

Really up until that point we and Sam had seen her from afar. The viewers and Sam never got close enough to see the real Cindy. A big theme of the show was how outward appearances don't match the truth. Cindy - Was the pretty nice cheerleader, but once there was a closer look, she was a bitch. Coach Fredricks - Outward appearance was as the asshole gym teacher, but once there was more of a look at him, we saw he was a nice guy. He wanted to connect with Bill when dating Bill's mom, and always wanted to see the Geeks succeed. Neal's dad - He seemed like the funny awesome dad, but was actually a cheating douche. Harold Weir - Was the embarrassing overprotective father, but was a great father that loved his kids above everything else. He had no problem having fun with Nick, since Nick's dad reminded him of his own, he even stuck up for Nick to his father. Harold came out of that and was the great father everyone thought Neal's dad was. Kim - She seemed like a complete bitch, but she had a horrible home life, and became best friends with Lindsey, and even helped out Sam with a bully. Todd - Outward appearance is that he'd be the asshole jack, but he was actually a nice guy and liked Sam.

Cindy was not a heel at all. She probably should have been more tactful with how she felt about The Jerk but it is a complete emo overreaction by him to feel so afronted that she disliked the film. The same thing with the heirloom, like she was dating him how long that is a lot of pressure to wear some jewelery from someone that young. To me she just seemed like a bit of stick in the mud who has no tact but I don't think she was a really bad or mean person.

WHen Sam wanted to dump her "The only reason I'm even dating you is because you're a nice guy" Kinda bitchy comments. PS. people are still using the word Emo?
