Got to looking at this photo today and realized that 7/8 of these guys are still employed, 4 have achieved main roster success/semi longevity (5 if you include Otunga.) Out of these guys, did you pick a winner from the beginning? Did anyone surprise you with their success, or surprise you with their lack there of?

I thought Sheffield. Not right right at first, but as soon as I saw him wrestle. He was a lot bigger and a lot mroe athletic than I realized, the gimmick sort of hid that.

Even back then, I figured Daniel Bryan would be a star but not like he is now,I figured him to be at best a Bret Hart type champion, but never as huge as he is now.

Bryan and Wade. I despised how they treated Bryan on the show, though.

I thought Gabriel would be a lot more successful by now, thats something that jumps out immediately. I called Barrett as the winner from the start. I wasn't actually a fan of Bryan at this point. I always knew Heath was a genetically predestined jobber for life.

I had latched on to Justin Gabriel at the beginning. I figured he wouldn't have a huge success, but I thought he would be doing more than what he currently does. I saw him filling the role of credible mid-card contender. Even as a jobber, I still feel Heath is successful- he's successful at what he does, despite likely never achieving success like Barrett or Bryan. He was actually one that I figured would never make it-- I figured when the season ended he would fade into obscurity never to be heard for again.
And I wanted to see Bryan succeed, but like Austinaries stated above, I never really saw him getting the success he has now. I got really scared for a bit too that the WHC run that ended with the 18 second loss to Sheamus would be the end of his success story.

I figured Bryan and Gabriel. Admittedly, when I first saw Wade Barrett, I didn't see too much special. He was a great talker and fairly imposing, but I didn't see him being THE breakout star of 2010. Boy was I ever wrong!

For me it was a tie between Brian and Barrett.

I also thought Otunga would be a big star and that Gabriel would become the next Mysterio. I was wrong.

I thought Wade Barrett and David Otunga would be the ones WWE would push soonest.
I thought Daniel Bryan would get over with time.
I thought Skip Sheffield would be the next Santino or Eugene.
I though Justin Gabriel would be IC title level.
I thought Michael Tarver would be one of those forgotten semi-pushed guys like Luther Reigns and Marcus Cor Von.
I thought Darren Young and Heath Slater would be released.

It was apparent to me from the start that NXT was a vehicle to introduce Daniel Bryan to the WWE Universe. For everyone else, it actually felt like a tryout.

I thought Otunga. His A List gimmick he had was amazing and worked well with his background Also he was not too bad in the ring.

I for sure saw Barret as going places. I also thought Gabriel had a good chance. I was curious about Bryan. I'd heard his rep and initially thought he was just being brought up to squash him in our faces or something weird and the firing after "Tie-gate" seemed to confirm that. The rest of the lot I had some really mixed up in the air vibes, but I was for sure on Tarver getting gone and Sheffield would be some kind of tag-team or IC level hoss.

I figured Bryan. I did not ever, and still dont like Barrett. You knew that they had some sort of plan with Bryan being paired up with the Miz.

Thought Barrett and Gabriel would go far, and that Otunga would have been released first depite his gimmick.
I was actually frustrated at first that they paired Bryan with the Miz, but it makes sense to me now.
I thought Darren Young would have been further along (especially after acknowledging the "Black Cena" thing)
Sheffield I had my fingers crossed for since his Silverback Reeves days, and was worried the cowboy gimmick would doom hm.
Slater and Tarver, wasn't sure about.

I figured Wade Barret and Daniel Bryan would have the two best careers. I did however thought (and possibly still do) that Otunga was the real darkhorse riding in and being the surprise breakout main event star of the future. I figured if The Miz can get to upper midcarder close to breaking out as a future maineventer in four years what's stopping Otunga
