You may ask why well
-He has an actual gimmick/gimmicks -He is a priority to get on Raw every weeks -One of the few midcarders who can show off their personality consistently. -Due to the gimmick nature, he isn't working long matches which exposed his meh wrestling skills. Also means less abuse his body takes weekly. -He's actually get over with the crowd due to him being 1 of the more recognizable wrestlers on the card.
I tried to make a quick list of full time wrestlers I think have a clearly better spot than Sandow and I basically got Cena/Wyatt Family/Shield/Rollins/Orton/Sheamus/BNB. Certainly I think Sandow isn't getting a raw deal in relation to many other wrestlers. So discuss.

I like Sandow's new push (or lack thereof to be exact), honestly. Dude has been a lower-card goof for months, might as well go all the way with it and make him ridiculous.
It's the same reason why I love Rybaxal. If you are gonna be a goof, spare no expense at making yourself look like an idiot for the sake of laughs. Really live up to the goof moniker.

At least he making everything entertaining which means Sandow will be pushed by the end of the year or WWE don't even care all that much and he needs to find a gimmick he can work with great like Barrett is doing now.

I didn't think I would like this, but he's been one of the bright spots of Raw for me. It's actually starting to entertain me more than the Intellectual Savior stuff did...

Maybe next week he dresses up as Goldust as Cody's perfect partner for Goldie. Rhodes Scholar reunion possible though not welcome (I like insane Sandow better than intellectual Sandow).

The crowd reaction warmed my heart, I hope it continues to grow.
I think they know he deserves better. We know he deserves better. HE knows he deserves better.
But despite that, he goes all out and puts the effort into it. Fans can see that, fans appreciate it.
It's the opposite of Los Matadores who I feel, always look somewhat rigid and embarrassed by their gimmick.

After seeing Raw and him in that leotard, I hope he'd become a tag team with Fandango.

The comedy relief spot is a venerable, honorable, and lucrative position. If Santino is thinking about retirement then Sandow is in good shape for many years to come.

He's heel Santino.
I like the guy, and wish more for him, but he gets tv time every week and is usually entertaining in this role, so eh.

I loved how the crowd cheered and chanted for him on Raw.

After seeing Raw and him in that leotard, I hope he'd become a tag team with Fandango. I'd be all about this. They can explain the connection and all of the goofy outfits by continuing to call him a "performance artist." In fact, if they did that, he could keep doing the costumes but still continue to use his "genius" gimmick.

Dancing can be a hallmark of high culture, such as ballet and theater, so you could have argued for him teaming with Fandango on that basis.

Least Fandango will finally have someone of intellect being able to pronounce is name correctly.

I am completely in favor of Sandow & Fandango becoming a regular thing, even if they call them "Fandow" or something....

It's the opposite of Los Matadores who I feel, always look somewhat rigid and embarrassed by their gimmick. over at PWTorch, someone suggested his current gimmick is not that he's losing his mind, but that he's showing that WWE management had been holding him back and limiting him by showing what sort of range he has, which would be a decent gimmick actually Los Matadores seem stiff to me, but that seems like part of the gimmick. Like they need to be formal and proper.

I still miss the backwards roll he did after every move when he was (briefly) undefeated ala Bo Dallas shortly after debuting. It seemed like his moveset got a lot less impressive as the months went on, but his mic skills got better so it's kinda a wash.
The silly random gimmick thing is always a good spot for a good mic/good mat guy, so Sandow fits the bill I just hope he finds a way to creep back into the main event like when he had the MITB briefcase.

Perhaps, like George Costanza before him, this was just his way of trying to get fired.
Next week, he drags the world title around behind a truck, while talking over a loudspeaker denouncing Vince.
