...Heath Slater MUST be repackaged as Clem Layfield. There's no reason not to do it now

No thanks, I really like Heath as he is. I haven't even seen the Clem gimmick.

I think he and Hornswoggle are likely going the Deliverance route. Maybe fringe members of the Wyatt family.

Nah I'm good.
I think someone in the release thread said it best. The joke is that Heath Slater is Clem Layfield. Get rid of "Heath Slater", and you lose half of the joke.

Have to admit, this was my first thought when I read the future endeavoring list.
The Clem Layfield character is awesome.

That's probably the character Heath is about to do since Bad News Barrett became popular on the JBL and Cole Show and it translate good to the main roster.

This was my first thought as well. I love Heath Slater, but Clem Layfield would be alright too.

Like 48 people in the world might be aware of this gimmick...half of them being on this board.

I don't think WWE needs to put another "Hey this thing from a small other thing. You all know it, right?" gimmick on TV.

I don't think WWE needs to put another "Hey this thing from a small other thing. You all know it, right?" gimmick on TV. I agree. "Bad News Barrett" is still "Wade Barrett" at heart and in WWE canon, but they would essentially be erasing "Heath Slater" to bring in the "Clem Layfield" character.

That's who Cody got to be Goldust's tag partner! Holy crap, you might be right. I wouldn't have thought of that.

That's who Cody got to be Goldust's tag partner! Holy crap, you might be right. I wouldn't have thought of that. But... But Cody said Goldust had never even seen his partner, yet he and Clem both testified at Cody's trial. And WWE is so mindful of continuity on their main shows, I'm sure they would do everything they could to keep up with the continuity of a random Internet show a fraction of their audience watches.
