Josh was a pretty damn good in any job they gave him. Who is going to host the Pre and Post-Shows now? Most likely Renee, but also possibly Tom Phillips. Personally, I'd love it if Scott Stanford got the nod. I'm a big Stanford fan, but I don't think he regularly travels with WWE anymore.

I hate Cole for getting my hopes up like that.

I'm wondering if they're going to get rid of more people who may not be viewed as needed.
In regards to announcers, Scott Stanford, Tony Chimel, and even an NXT guy like Jason Albert might be let go, I'm thinking after his deal is up. I guess they'll just end up using Renee Young as the main person for the pre-shows and use her, Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton as the other people. Alex Riley and Booker T might be kept as well, but they could do a deal where they bring in other WWE stars so they could get rid of either Riley or Booker, most likely Riley.
In regards to wrestlers, David Otunga, Great Khali and Justin Gabriel I'm thinking are on the outs, in my opinion. Anyone who doesn't really have an actual role. Xavier Woods might be there too, but they could grab him because they'll need job guys.

Yeah he's the full time news anchor up here in the NY/NJ/Conn area on Ch. 11 (the NY CW affiliate). You can't have him he's ours

He was the guy I pulled the most for on Tough Enough.
It's always too bad when a veteran who does a mostly good job is let go, simply because they can get someone they can pay less. I can't see why else they'd replace him since practically every backstage person is essentially exactly the same.

He was the guy I pulled the most for on Tough Enough. Me too, I thought he was way better than Maven. Well Renee pretty much became their number one backstage interviewer over him in an incredibly short amount of time and has been killing it in that role... so that's at least one reason. And whatever reason they stopped the experiment of having him as an actual commentator, which he was decent at... until he pretty much became Cole

WWE. Hey, WWE! You let the wrong announcer go. There's 2-3 dudes commentating on RAW that are dead weight.

I still remember Tough Enough season 1 when they featured a little thing on Josh wanting to watch wrestling on tv alone because he liked to watch the matches and not have to put up with other peoples comments "That looks so fake" or "This guy and that guy suck." I've always been the same way. I tried watching with friends, my wife, others and it never works out. I also thought him and Michael Cole were pretty close friends outside of WWE. Surprised by the "faggot" comment. His WWF.com shows with Tim White were some of the best skits WWF/E have ever done and Josh played a big roll in getting those over. Let's never forget that he used to bone Rue DeBona:

No big loss, they have so so many backstage interviews that I lose track of who's doing what now. I like these budget cuts, finally things will become more cohesive. How? It's just guys who haven't gotten many opportunities losing a steady pay check.

In general I agree but Josh has pretty much been on screen in some commentating capacity for like 12 years... to say he didn't get many opportunities is pretty blatantly false.

Kinda inevitable with all the cuts going on at the moment, he was doing the least out of their broadcasting roster (except Stanford who has other commitments as people have mentioned). I think the writing was on the wall for him when Tom Phillips got called up. He was a perfectly decent commentator, seemed like quite a funny guy on the occasions when they let him be himself (NXT Season 3 and 'Are You Serious?') but there's probably a million more of him out there.

I'm still pissed the Grish is gone... although I can at least still get my fix on ESPN. Speaking of that, does anyone know of they've paired up Grisham and Coachman for a Sportscenter yet? Sems like it would be too obvious not to do that at some point. As for Josh, I too was rooting for him on Tough Enough. I thought his pairing with Bill DeMott on Velocity all those years ago was him at his best. Though he will live on in infamy with Tim White for Lunchtime Suicide
