TBH I can't help but feel both disappointed and excited with this event at the same time.
As this will be my first ever UFC event and hopefully they will be coming back within the next couple of years.. but at the same time the entire card is pretty weak and the UFC has pretty much been banking on the fact it is their first ever event in New Zealand in order to draw ticket sells doesn't say much.
Still I'm going in with high hopes.

My picks: The Big Te Huna Soa The Hulk Hioki Whittaker

Was meaning to bump this thread on sunday but never late than never...
Got to the event 10 minutes before the prelims stared and overall I was pleasantly surprised as in all it was a good event was. All of the prelims fights were entertaining even though the Daniel Hooker fight had to be the most blatant example of a gimme fight in the UFC for quite some time. The main card for the most part was excellent, Oliveira submitting Hatsu Hioki out of nowhere was awesome and the only real bad fight was the Soa Palelei vs. Jared Rosholt snoozefest. The crowd was bummed out with Te Huna losing though honestly its quite something being part of a very loud crowd only to see it be brought into a pin drop silence seconds later. Though I did have to point out to some twats who were seated next to me that started shouting out that Te Huna was a pussy for tapping that if he hadn't his arm would be broken and its rather unfair to expect him have a limb snapped over national pride to be unreasonable.
But hopefully next time the UFC puts a bit more effort into a card the next time they make a trip to NZ.

Comparing what I've read about this card with the Swanson vs. Stephens event, you got the better show. Though I'm also bummed that Te Huna lost.
