Kruk hated playing for the sox's so much he retired I read that after getting his final hit, he retired on the spot so that his average could remain at over .300 Yea he apparently singled during a game, took himself out and retired at .300 and 100 home runs. heres another 90s phillies star in a wrong uniform.

Mike Modano, my favorite hockey player of all time. Drafted by the Minesota North Stars, won few Stanley Cups when the Stars went to Dallas, Retired a Star, and is about to be inducted in the hall of fame as a Star, and the Stars retired his jersey. Why I can't imagine him wearing anything but that good ol' number 9 Dallas Stars uniform. Well, screw me with a rusty spork.

John Smoltz with Boston or Tom Glavine with the Mets.
Staying with the Braves theme, this year with Brian McCann in a Yankees uniform.

Seeing Michael Owen in a Manchester United jersey is still weird for me. I grew up watching him at Liverpool but I was happy United signed him at 30 cause I thought he was incredible in his prime as a kid.
Juan Mata is the same really. I associate him with Chelsea so much, I still can't believe we have him at United.

This: Look, I didn't mind when Johnny went to the Yankees, but getting a haircut and shaving? THAT WAS SO WRONG!! It would be like Jimi Hendrix wearing a three piece suit or Daniel Bryan losing the beard and joining the Authority. Ya sold out, Johnny. Ya, sold out to the man.

While yes Allen Iverson is mostly associated with being a 76er, it wasn't in these uniforms from when he randomly came back for a few months later in his career.

Richard "Goose" Gossage as anything other than a Yankees uniform just doesn't look right. He epitomized the rough and tumble "Bronx Zoo" with his thick walrus mustache and stubble you can grate cheese with, plus his fighting spirit. (1978-83)
You can make a case for his years in San Diego (1984-87), as he did make it to the World Series his first year there.
But he started with the White Sox, as a young man going from bullpen reliever to a starter. (1972-76) Pittsburgh Pirates. (1977) *Then the Yankees & San Diego, as referenced above* Chicago Cubs (1988) San Francisco Giants & back to the Yankees (1989) *No stats for 1990.* Texas Rangers (1991) Oakland A's (1992-93) Seattle Mariners (1994)
Dick Allen (1977), Billy Williams (1975-76), Ken Holtzman (1972-75) and Frank Thomas (2006-08) with Oakland. Jim Abbott (1999) with the Brewers.

Mike Scott started his career with the Mets. The same Mets he almost beat on his own in the 1986 NLCS. He won the 1986 NLCS MVP for the losing team. He was that good.

Even stranger is that Dutch was playing left field and first base since his knees were too destroyed to catch any more.

The worst part about that was the fact the he spent most of 2004 and 2005 saying "No way. I'll never play for the Yankees".
