Was this it's own show or what? I always wondered what show this was on as I didn't watch back then.

Was this it's own show or what? I always wondered what show this was on as I didn't watch back then. Basically it was its own show for a couple of weeks. McMahon gave a half an hour or his 2 hour wrestling block on USA on Monday (Primetime Wrestling) to Bobby Heenan. McMahon was a huge Heenan fan and wanted him doing non wrestling commedy. USA officials killed it quick because it was in their contract with McMahon that the Primetime Wrestling show was to be McMahon putting on wrestling. I am a Bobby Heenan mark, but I never got into the Bobby Heenan Show. No different than today, when I turn on wrestling I want wrestling and Primetime used to be the only place to see McMahon non squash matches on television. Heenan works in a wrestling context and in short doses, but this over exposed him. I do appreciate it more now looking back on it in retrospect.

I agree the bobby Heenan show wasnt too good and to me Heenan wasnt too good unless he had monsoon or vince to work off of. he was great as a manager as well because he had that gift of being funny and serious all at the same time.
