Not THE Face of the company, but guys who were pushed to the main event scene either as faces or became faces.
As far as recent history goes Randy Orton always has been a horrible face main event or otherwise. Del Rio was also pretty cringeworthy. I would say The Miz as well, but when he was actually in the main event scene I think it has always been as a heel.
For as much crap as John Cena gets some faces in the WWE/WWF main event scene have just been so, so much worse.

I always felt that Randy Orton's most recent face run, while void of any real unpredictability, actually went over really well.

I'd put Lashley on that list, I never bought Lashley as a Main Eventer.

I've always loved Kane as a main event heel. As a face, not so much. Probably cause I have never liked the chokeslam lol.
Maybe the Big Show if he qualifies. He just didn't have the aura when he was the Giant in WCW.

Remember when Alberto Del Rio was a babyface champion?

Randy Orton does the "dickish babyface" very well and I prefered Del Rio as a face. I'd say Shawn Michaels because other than being a great wrestler there was nothing much to root for him and also John Cena for obvious reasons.

Orton and Cena. Seriously.
Cena gets booed by the majority of the audience and Orton has no charisma whatsoever. Between them they have about 30 World Titles combined and that to me, is depressing.

I still wonder how long it took for them to realize the implications of wearing a shirt that says 18 SECONDS

Orton is a good one. HHH at times, Cena at times. Edge's "Spear! Spear! Spear!" phase.

Orton actually got heat as a face during the latest run. The majority of his career has been a black hole of charisma but as a face/tweener main eventer, dudes were into his act.
