If it wasn't totally coincidental they hooked up with the two best in the company, that's a strong possibility.
Plus it would explain Nikki's endless persistence of John. I imagine there were a few incidents where she put on a bald cap and sports jacket to play out a Cena/Cesaro roleplay, which only resulted in her chasing the poor lug around the mansion. She might not even be aware of her actions at this point.
Can Total Divas season 3 just start already?

Cena has good psychology, but horrible work rate in the traditional sense. He never remembers to sell limbs and goes from selling a move like a shot gun blast to JK IM FINE in about 3 seconds on match to match basis. |

Actually, this was meant to be more of a Total Divas thread than anything. Figured people would just run with the visual of Nikki chasing a horrified Cena around.
Were the implications really that blasphemous?

It's Pavlovian at this point. ...but the fact that (at least, as far as we know) they stayed far away from CM Punk for the whole of his run, and haven't gone anywhere near Cesaro kind of disproves it. And as far as jumping on the horse-beating train goes, John Cena: Psychology? Yeah. Very yeah. He does that pretty good. Workrate? Oh, a laugh track that laughs hard enough at that does not exist. |

I always thought "ring psychology" pertained to the intellectual and psychological elements (e.g. selling moves, selling "injury," etc.) hence its name. What are other people calling "psychology?"
