They think they're watching AJ Styles and trying to annoy him, due to his anti-LGBT views.
They're actually chanting "See Men F--"

So who in this thread has the guts to start an "AJ LEE" chant at their next live event (she need not be present)?

I don't get why they chant his name. Do they think he'll come back if they say his name 3 times, like Beetlejuice? I have heard that if you say his name 5 times in the dark while looking at a mirror, he appears behind you, screaming "STRAIGHT EDGE MEANS I'M BETTER THAN YOUUUuuuu", before disappearing.

If WWE brought back Domino, he'd get Punk chants too. If they brought back Domino, he'd get complete confused silence, broken by a single child bursting into tears.

Yeah I'm sick of the Punk chants too, they made sense prior to WM when the crowds were in open rebellion, nobody knew if it was part of angle and people thought he'd be there when they bought the tickets but that doesn't really apply these days. That said AJ doesn't help matters wearing that skeleton style shirt that's similar to one Punk used to wear and speaking in that pipe bomb manner, it just reinforces their link and encourages Punk's fans to view her as a surrogate. why aren't fans chanting "TYSON KIDD" during Natalya matches? They don't even chant "Tyson Kidd" during Tyson Kidd matches No the NXT crowd chant "Nattie's Husband" at him which is really disrespectful, FACT! The perpetrators should be carted off by campus security.

people are chanting it under the misguided belief that if they beg WWE will be forced to bring him back. what they don't understand is that it was his own choice and he's not coming back. he's done as a regular member of the roster. he might come back for a special appearance or even a brief feud at some point but as a regular member of the roster he's done.

Some fans have a problem dealing with reality. CM Punk is not coming back. It's time to move on.

now we just need them to start chanting "Maryse" during Miz matches and we're good. and besides Miz would be happy to be hearing anything during his matches lately.

The chants make the fans look like a bunch of losers in general. They chant for this douche bag who basically gave them the middle finger because he didn't get his way. It's really sad people can't get over this guy. My opinion only but I thought he was criminally over rated and I'm glad I don't have to listen to those cornball promos he'd cut on all the backstage shit you could read on wrestling sites. That and calling wrestlers by their real names...ooh...that is so edgy and cool The chants need to stop and people need to move on.

It would've helped if WWE had said something at any point whatsoever about Punk not being there. Like say he got injured by Kane at the Royal Rumble or HHH gave him a sabbatical for some reason or something. You had Stephanie say one thing at a PPV at Chicago 5 months after he left, but that was the only time it has been brought up. I can get why people think the chants are annoying, but WWE did themselves no favors by not addressing why Punk wasn't there, even if it meant lying about the real reason.

Maybe. But you know, people ought to go ahead and chant the Divas's names more. I know it can be embarrassing to be the guy standing up yelling "GO NAOMI" because you'll definitely get some looks, but if you are a fan of women's wrestling you owe it to them.

AJ: "Hey, they don't hate my husband."
That is what I think happens in AJ Lee matches when they chant Punk's name.

It's either chant for Punk or sit in awkward silence. It's a toss up really.

It's not that far-fetched. People react to her matches, so if a group of people tried to start a Naomi chant, it might actually take off. As for AJ, I doubt she's fazed by this. She regularly reads all of the insipid and offensive things people have to say to her on the internet, so some schlubs chanting for her man is nothing by comparison.

I actually don't mind the "Nattie's Husband" chants because it's something WWE facilitated during the build-up to Tyson's NXT title match at Takeover, which lead to his recent heel turn.
