CM Punk chants in general are annoying, not just AJ's segments. Yeah, they're even more annoying than What! now.

It's not that far-fetched. People react to her matches, so if a group of people tried to start a Naomi chant, it might actually take off. As for AJ, I doubt she's fazed by this. She regularly reads all of the insipid and offensive things people have to say to her on the internet, so some schlubs chanting for her man is nothing by comparison.Except for the fact in an interview she said that she doesn't even pay attention to wrestling related stuff on the net. Including all and sundry on twitter?

I hope they never stop chanting for him just to piss you guys off even more. What an odd way to look at things.

Obviously she's ignoring the idiotic few tweets on Twitter, she barely even goes on it anymore. I meaning more dirtsheets, possible news stories from TMZ and etc. I don't really blame her considering how creepy fans are to female wrestlers.

Yeah, I'm referring primarily to what happens on twitter. I'm sure she sees some weird stuff. I don't think Punk chants are high on that list. Although I think fans are just as creepy (if not creepier) towards male wrestlers.

They don't piss me off because I don't care about AJ or the divas in general. I don't care about CM Punk though either so they're kind of annoying.

It would've helped if WWE had said something at any point whatsoever about Punk not being there. Like say he got injured by Kane at the Royal Rumble or HHH gave him a sabbatical for some reason or something. You had Stephanie say one thing at a PPV at Chicago 5 months after he left, but that was the only time it has been brought up. I can get why people think the chants are annoying, but WWE did themselves no favors by not addressing why Punk wasn't there, even if it meant lying about the real reason. I think part of the problem is that until his contract expires, I don't even think everyone in WWE truly believes he's done. Hell, even when the contract ends, I'm sure there's people in the company who honestly believe he's just on a sabbatical.

Are they really confined to divas matches though? Don't they chant it randomly too?

They really don't bother me and they usually peter out quickly.

But yeah, I have a feeling people wouldn't chant it so much if they were given a reason for Punk leaving. I mean, I doubt even the dirt sheets that are reporting he's retired really know much more than WWE does.

They kind of bother me but nobody's really mentioning that they were truly barely any Punk chants this past Monday during the divas tag match. The crowd did pop for her though. I'd at least wait until Battleground to call this a trend. If WWE books a compelling angle for Paige and AJ, it probably would help too.

Maybe I'm just weird but I'm not seeing how it's disrespectful in the least. At least, any more disrespectful than other times the crowd does it. What a bizarre thing to get upset about. "They are chanting my husband's name!? Those bastards!"
Chanting CM Punk was already a thing before AJ came back so of course they are gonna do it with her. That's what happens when you have a division where people have been conditioned to not care.

People chant for Punk because they mostly still miss him. I'm not one of them, he's given all he has to give and done damn near everything, but I think I get why they do it.

At this point, Vince may still be the only one that truly knows what's going on with Punk, so it's tough to know the situation. And I get that. But you can still make up something to tell the fans to explain his absence. It's not like they haven't done it in the past. Even though people on here would still speculate, it could have silenced the crowd. And even if it hadn't, at least they would've tried to stop it if they really think it's a nuisance.

If he comes back, AJ and Punk should be an on-screen couple too. They don't have to be in storylines together constantly, but maintain some sort of constant connection, like an alternative power couple.

She does wear CM Punk wristbands during her matches to be fair.

I doubt AJ minds. After all, a few months ago she cut that "I'm the best... Diva... in the world!" promo with that big grin on her face.

Funny how they miss him during the worst segments of the show or to be ironic at his wife. I doubt many would chant it think much about Punk, just like they don't actually care about JBL when his name starts ringing through the arena.
