I just can't believe how stacked WWE's/NXT's talent roster is now. Hell not even three years ago I would of believed WWE would have a roster like this.

Sure. everyone's excited now, but wait until they say he's from KENTA-ucky, and make him a Japanese bluegrass musician.

Is Triple H stacking the deck on NXT to show up Vince's shows? I'm thinking it's more showing the fans what the shows will be like under Triple H's rule. More wrestling, less crap. ANd I for one welcome our gigantic nosed overlord.

The talent relations under Triple H has been incredible. Sure there are some 'misses,' but the talent they have signed and utilized and the tone of NXT has been exceptional.

Get him a giant Japanese flag to wave around and bring back Mr. Fuji to manage him.

Once again registering my hope that he uses DID as his finisher in lieu of his three finishers all being taken.
Either that, or he is endorsed/allied with Daniel Bryan and uses the Busaiku and Game Over without any issue.

Hold him in NXT until Bryan returns (should he) and then pair them up. A couple of friendly matches before a group of heels attack Bryan and KENTA saves him, run that feud and then move to a singles feud with them.

He could always use the G2S as his finisher. Not like Punk's an active wrestler anymore and he got it from KENTA anyway.

Glad they're sending him to NXT first. It's on the job training for a guy like Kenta, not on how to wrestle, but on how WWE works. And if it stops them from rushing him up to the main roster until they know what for sure how he does in WWE style with WWE guys, all the better.

I don't understand why anyone is asking about when he gets to RAW. Given how crappy that show is, we should want him in NXT for at least a year.
I feel like, by the end of the summer, developmental will be a 'can't miss' show once again.

I hope to God we get KENTA vs Del Rio down the line, and that it is given a decent amount of time. I bet those two can put on a phenomenal match, regardless of how people treat Del Rio. I also want to see him wrestle Cesaro, Cena, Sheamus, and Rollins.

in all seriousness, the only Japanese guy that ever got a serious sustained push, story lines and character development was tadgers. I'm not totally au fait with kenta, seen a few youtube vids but that is about it, is he better than tajiri and is he likely to been seen as a top guy? Can he speak english for one as that is what pretty much did Sin Cara in.

I'm not totally au fait with kenta, seen a few youtube vids but that is about it, is he better than tajiri and is he likely to been seen as a top guy? Can he speak english for one as that is what pretty much did Sin Cara in. At the least, he bothered to learn enough to thank the fans at his second ROH show, even if he clearly had trouble with it. He also worked very smoothly with American wrestlers very quickly, even in matches with complex spots and sequences. His psychology tends to be a bit basic, but everything he does is very crisp and well executed. His moveset is very similar to Daniel Bryan's WWE moveset, minus the suicide dives, and with a Randy Orton-esque cocky attitude. As much as people are saying he's probably too stiff for WWE as-is, his style is actually very similar to the kind of thing Daniel Bryan, the Shield, and Cesaro have made standard in WWE. He may be seen as a top guy simply because he's coming into a different environment and from a different background. We're talking the first Japanese talent WWE's signed (in decades? possibly ever?) who is coming in as a former heavyweight champion and top star, as well as coming in at a time when WWE is hoping to snag Network subscribers overseas in the near future. Tajiri came in more as a former ECW talent than as a Japanese superstar, which I think absolutely affected how he was treated (mostly for the better, somewhat for the worse). Compare to Yoshi Tatsu, who was nobody really, just a rookie on his foreign excursion before he got his WWE deal.
